I just tried this place for the first time this evening. I went in and placed my to go order. 2 fountain sodas, 2 Carolina burgers (one w/o onions and one w/o chili) and a side of pasta salad. Sounds good, huh?
Well I get home with the food, chili is on both burgers. The pasta salad ingredients included black olives and mozzarella cheese, neither were included. Last but not least, the burgers were half raw. So I pretty much enjoyed 2 sodas for well over $30. THE FOOD IS AWFUL.

Best burger and fried flounder in NC, hands down! My kids would also argue best hot dog and sweet potatoes fries around. If you aren’t eating here your life is severely lacking! It’s not just the food, the people and atmosphere are 10 stars. My family and I eat here often and my kiddos always ask for extra marshmallow sauce with their sweet potato fries but the really impressive service came the other night when we showed up at 5mins til closing and they greeted us like family and still offered for us to dine-in and and take our time. Genuinely all gold stars

fantastic burgers and fries! We had to wait, but this isn’t a fast food restaurant so it was expected. Food came out hot and fresh. Drink machine was out of order with no posted repair date when we visited, and they were also out of tuna and fried pickles. Also didn’t see a menu anywhere, but found some on the order counter, so not a big deal. Overall fun place to visit with great fresh burgers! Recommend the fish burger if you like fish and a bit of spice!

Food is really good. Menu is pretty simple, but it’s well done. Tuna and Mahi burgers and tacos are excellent. Sweet potato fries are likewise worth a try. Make sure to get the dipping sauce made of magic. I think it’s marshmallow fluff and cream cheese. Regardless, it’s amazing. Service is fine, but not outstanding. Go there for the food though!

Morehead Burger Company was presented to me as the go to spot in the area for a MUST HAVE burger experience. Giving It a go it quickly becomes apparent that it barely rises above the standards of fast food. The experience is marred by several factors that detract from what could be a pleasant meal out.
One of the first things that strikes you upon entering is the environment. Unfortunately, it leaves much to be desired. The cleanliness of the establishment is questionable; tables and chairs were sticky / uncleaned, and the floors appear to have not been swept in quite some time at the time I went.
Adding to the less-than-ideal experience is the staff’s attitude towards customers. During my visit, I found them to be unhelpful & somewhat indifferent; hell, the cashier was on her phone having a discussion with what appeared to be her partner. Even after I told her this was my first time being here, her response was a simply “ok” & went back to her phone call. When I had questions about menu items or needed assistance with my order, responses were short, unwelcoming & lacking in enthusiasm.
While it does have a good variety of burger options, the quality does not match up with expectations or the 4.7 rating that is reflected on google. The burgers themselves are average at best—cooked inconsistently and lacking flavor depth that would elevate them beyond typical fast-food. This burger pictured was the sweet baby burger with a side of onion rings which are one of the worst in the local area. I order for two other people as well – Classic burger and they had similar sentiments and stated their fries were similarly uninspired; they were soggy rather than crispy, further contributing to an overall disappointing meal.
In summary, Morehead Burger Company struggles to provide the go to spot that was presented to me due to its dirty environment, overcrowded conditions, unhelpful staff, and mediocre food quality. While it may serve as a quick stop for those in need of a fast meal on-the-go, it fails to deliver on the must have experience and the rating that’s reflected that define a good burger joint.

We stopped by for a burger and we added an order of onion rings. The burgers were delicious and freshly cooked. The onion rings were cut thin and they had just the right amount of breading. They were hot and crispy.
There’s indoor and outdoor seating. It’s just a hole in the wall place in a strip shopping center. Go for the food, not the atmosphere.

Cool small spot. At first glance I thought simple food cheese burgers. Boy was I wrong. I had the tuna burger. It was perfectly cooked and seasoned I have no idea what that sauce was but it paired perfectly. Sweet potato fries with some kind of marshmallow cream sauce AMAZING. My mom had the classic burger. But again that sauce and just the balance a great burger. My stepdad ordered the fire house it was so big he couldn’t finish it. And value who still sells a burger for 8 bucks. I tipped them well because the food and service was excellent. Can’t wait to come back and bring friends what a cool place to grab a burger. A lot more than I expected I was pleasantly surprised!!

Was in town picked up lunch for the whole work crew. So we all had a variety of different things. Hands down everything was delicious. Service was good they were nice and wasn’t a long wait especially with an order that size got it out in a timely manner. Will most definitely be back
