Just Another Nobody
With my wife and I being from New Mexico, it’s pretty hard to find a Mexican restaurant that actually makes good rice and beans. Dos Amigos is the only one here in Mississippi that we have found that makes pretty decent rice and beans. The Horchata is from a bag, but 99% of the restaurants in New Mexico cheat on that as well, so I can’t complain too much. I am glad we stopped.

While camping at bay springs Lake decided to look for a place to eat lunch. Not many places to eat out nearby. Decided to try this place based on reviews we were not disappointed. The food was excellent with large portions service was very good and friendly . They have a lunch buffet but we chose to order from menu. Will definitely go back when in the area.

Our 1st time here. It was 11:00a.m. on a Saturday. There was only 1 other car besides our 2, so we were a bit worried. We were thrilled to find a clean establishment with excellent food. The 4 of us each ordered something different. It arrived promptly and fit the description on the menu. The portions were extra generous.
One thing I especially enjoyed was that the tortilla wrapped around the generous amount of steak, chicken and shrimp, was nice and thin, without breaking or bursting. I like my tortillas that way, rather than thicker and chewy. All around EXCELLENT experience! We will be back!

First off, I want to say that the atmosphere was good and we had great service as for refills on chips and drinks. However, in our group of 4 people, there were problems with each plate. Evidently the cooks in the back didn’t know what to put on each plate so that you could get what the menu described. All of us had to ask for the remainder of our food. My taco salad was too salty, had no taco flavor or seasoning that I could see and they left off the tomatoes and the cheese. My husband ordered the Fajitas and the beans were very runny and they only put on 2-3 pieces of beef on his combination plate. My SIL had to ask for her lettuce and sour cream and my BIL had his avocado salad left off of his plate. The cooks and waiters need to get together to be sure that the plates are coming out with the food on it as described on the menu.

My wife always likes “Mexican” food, so we gave this place a try. It was really good, and the staff was attentive. If you live in Tishomingo, MS or you are visiting the park, give this place a shot. You’ll be pleasantly surprised that a small town has such a good little place.

It’s the first time I’ve ever been here. It was clean and the staff friendly. I had the chicken chimichanga and it was the best I’ve ever had. Food was brought out quickly and hot. If I’m ever back around the area I will most definitely eat there again. Thanks to all the staff that made it a friendly atmosphere and place to eat. We really enjoyed it.

Wanted to give a try, ordered fajita with shrimp , chicken, and steak, there was three tiny pieces of steak..and two tiny slivers of tomatoe ..the corn tortillas seemed old and my friend brought it up too…ordered the Mexican avocado dip, needed less salt and more cilantro and lime…the price was 5.99 sorry a small bowl, they charges me 6.99 on a reciept.Orderedsmall cheese dip, didn’t taste like mexican cheese dip,

The beef fajitas tasted like they just poured about a pound of salt on it. The refried beans was so runny that it was like a soup. The waiter was the only thing good. Will not be back.
