The Mac salad has absolutely no taste. I don’t know if they missed an ingredient but it tasted like just noodles and I found a small hair. The musubi spam was dry and crusty. Ordered take out and the system had messed up and didn’t send my order in properly either.

My wife has been wanting to try L&L for a while, so we decided to finally go. I was debating between 3 and 4 stars. 4 stars because of how management handled the situation. Easy to get to in plaza with plenty of parking. We placed our order and sat down and waited. Simple dining area, nothing special, but spam cans for flowers is cute. No outlets for phones or electronic devices. When we went, the place was clean. Took a little while for food to come out. When it did, they served in the Styrofoam like other Hawaiian restaurants. The chicken and shrimp were awesome. The short ribs were overcooked, the pork chop was raw, and the lumpia was ok.
The manager came out and had a long conversation about the pork chop. You can tell she was genuine and really concerned about it. She replaced the entire plate and gave her the shrimp as extra, which we did not ask for but appreciated. The manager was going out of her way to make sure we left happy. She did a great job handling the situation. While this is not the best hawaiian restaurant we have been to, it was good enough to fill us up. The price was a big high, so we may or may not go back.

I usually get the chicken katsu which NEVER MISS!! Always a 10/10!! But I wanted to try something different and it was a fail…so bad it ruined my appetite! The saimin noodles was mushy and the bbq chicken was burnt….ugh…lesson learned just get the katsu ♀️

So I usually get the seafood platter which never misses, except for the last two times I’ve ordered. I ordered delivery, and once the food got here, there was so much grease in the bag that the take out box was lathered and slippery. The sauce cup was covered in grease, but the food itself was not that greasy. I genuinely don’t understand how you get that much grease in a bag like that, seemed like someone just poured a cup in the bag before sending it out. The time before was much better with the grease but the food was overcooked, everything was way too crunchy and dry. I normally never have a problem but it seems like they’re loosing their touch. Hopefully it gets better.

Unfortunately the kalua pork was so salty that most of my meal was inedible. The Mac salad was great. Bbq chicken was okay but needed more flavor. The fries looked and tasted like they were heated up in a microwave from frozen and had never been fried – they were a pale yellow and so soggy. Seafood platter was also okay, but everything was overcooked. Best thing about this meal was the macaroni. Spam musubi was good as well. The employee there was friendly and service was super fast. There were out of order signs on pretty much all of the drinks, they seemed to only have canned drinks.

its really difficult to hate L&L, but this location repeatedly makes me not want to come back. The serving portions are small and laughable compared to other locations. The staff rude and slow. The food tasted stale and like they used old oil for their chicken.
Why should I come back? There’s no real good reason at all- when their competition nearby does it better.

Order DoorDash, no Katsu sauce no macaroni salad said you have a choice of rice or fries but no way to choose rice or fries who eats dry cat chicken. I had a client that told me that you guys were going down in quality and don’t always have the Katsu sauce, but I was really craving the macaroni salad so I decided to give them another chance do you not go there? The chicken is dry. All I have is rice no sauce. And I got no macaroni salad the whole reason why I ordered it. I will not be recommending this location to my clients. People deserve better than this is not representing Hawaiian food.

This was our first time, dine-in. We got our food 2 hrs later. We lost track of time, because we were talking stories. Our 1st saimin with spam was COLD…the 2nd & 3rd bowl of spam saimin was very salty. We added rice n mac salad to the saimin hoping it’ll lessen the saltiness, it was still salty. I’m not coming here again.

This place was better before they changed up the recipes. The BBQ mix plate is more like stir fry chicken and beef with cabbage and seasame seeds rather than being the grilled pieces of meat they used to do. I dont know who thought changing up the recipes was a good idea, but the food from this place now looks and tastes like it came from an average Chinese restaurant.
