I found this place randomly and feel so grateful I gave it a try! Immediately, when you walk in, the staff greet you and make sure you’re serviced. I tried the lentil and potato soup, white chocolate cake, and caramel latte. EVERYTHING was perfect! I will definitely come back for this authentic Italian experience.

This spot is amazing!! Very friendly staff and the food is 10/10, highly recommend the gnocchi with pesto and the abruzzo panini, they also had my favorite rainbow cookies. Great selection of deserts and cute little grocery store in the back. Will definitely be coming back soon!

I went for the first time yesterday and both me and my husband really liked it. You can really tell that they put thought and effort into the food they serve. Everything we had tasted homemade. I had the Italian Wedding Soup. My husband has a four cheese pasta. We also shared an appetizer that had smoke salmon, capers, olives, and a balsamic reduction. They were all really tasty. They do also offer bulk meats, cheeses, and pastries for purchase. We want to make this one of our regular spots.

My husband and a coworker came few weeks ago and he came home talking about how great it was. We stopped in for a quick breakfast..who doesn’t want a cannoli for breakfast? They were great and so was the coffee.

Great spot. Small joint. Enjoyed my breakfast immensely. Give grace, there was one lady running the whole show when we were there.

This place was fantastic, the atmosphere reminds me of a little Italy Cafe. Highly recommend the panini’s were super good along with the pastas. I loved how seating was limited but the owner would ask if you could make room at your table for others encouraging conversations with strangers and interacting with each other. The whole place was super friendly and had delicious food.

When I arrived, it wasn’t busy. I ordered to go and it took about 15 minutes but it was the wrong dish so I had to wait another 15 minutes. There were 2 waitresses and the taller one was rude and unfriendly. The other waitress went out of her way to give me water while I was waiting. As soon as the first order got to me, the rude waitress grabbed my water without saying anything. I was still drinking it. Then the other waitress gave me another water.I didn’t even say anything to the rude waitress. She started venting to me about what it was like to be a waitress. I didn’t feel that was appropriate. She was complaining to me.
I went to pay for it and she said that I couldn’t use a gift card. I didn’t think that was true. The owner apologized for her and said I could use the gift card.
I ordered the rigatoni with tomato sauce and meatballs. There was very little tomato sauce and rigatoni. It was mostly ground beef. I was disappointed. The meatballs had a strange flavor. The salad had very little balsamic dressing and the bread was stale.
It was very hard to find parking. I had to park in another shopping area.
I do not recommend this restaurant.

Reading a current negative comment, I was struck by how unknowing the reviewer is. I was there that day, too, along with 10 other patrons who did know: the reviewer got it ALL wrong.
The Italian Market is a landmark of hospitality, and is a sort of home away from home for many locals as well as internationals. Her food is always fresh, healthy and tasty; her market carries delights straight from Italy, some staples and some treats.
AnaMaria herself is incredibly kind and generous, and over the years has intermittently hired socially-challenged folks who themselves are adopted by her Market patrons as family.
The food is stupendous and authentic. The ambiance is sometimes almost raucous when packed, often with folks ‘in blue’ and also local military, out to pick up their lunch.
And then it quiets, and returns to the tune of old blues, sublime enough to savor her Best of VB Coffee, dessert and a good book.

Just stopped in for quick breakfast right as it opened, was prompted to try a breakfast panini, Sunshine Panini, which was excellent! It took a few minutes to make, and as usual I found a few grocery items to take home for dinner prep.
If you have been to Italy, or just Europe in general, then you come to love these types of places. Local, fresh, fairly fast, and high quality of taste.
I ordered the panini (came with chips, and was LARGE!), almond biscotti, bag of potato chips, and two boxes of rigatoni pasta, and my bill was $23. Incredible.
I would highly recommend!
