Cozy small corner restaurant in Fairmont area. We went there to experience the Moroccan cuisine they advertised. We were disappointed in the selections. Many of the menu items were decidedly not Moroccan. There were a lot of dishes with mashed potatoes while others seemed Greek leaning due to the feta and spinach. Prices were a bit high and portions just average sized. Service was prompt and friendly. Execution of the dishes was only so so. For instance, the hummus and applewood smoked salmon pizza ($14) was a piece of cold pita with some very bland smoked salmon on top alone with capers and onion. Hummus was not evident. Entrees were similarly just okay. My bread pudding desert was a big fail. It seemed like they took a bunch of pieces of bread and cut along the crust 1/2” in. The resulting strips were then folded in half and served with carmel sauce and ice cream. Bread pudding should be custard like and warm, this was neither. Figs is a BYOB. Parking in the area is difficult but not South Philly level difficult. At these prices there are much better options nearby.

I went tonight with a group of friends. We were a party of six, and each of us ordered something different. Every single dish was delicious!
I had the seafood risotto, which was creamy, flavorful, and came in a very generous portion. I also tried the salmon fillet, it was perfectly crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and the sauce that came with it was so tasty. The mashed potatoes were also amazing!
The service was excellent ! the lady who served us was so warm, kind, and attentive. The food was fantastic, and the whole area where the restaurant is located is super cozy and beautiful.. Perfect for photos with all the lights and charming home decorations around.

This has to be one of the best hidden gems in the city. Food 10/10, service 10/10 the restaurant is clean and comfortable. The smells coming from the open kitchen are heavenly. Would not hesitate to recommend to all my family and friends. Will definetly be going back year time and time again.

Excellent place to eat. Delightful ambiance and photos absolutely delicious. We enjoyed our smoked salmon flatbread dand the soup du jour was gazpacho which was tasty .
We had the swordfish and lamb shank tagine . The lamb shanks as tender and tasty and the tagine was a very hardy portion . The swordfish was very tasty .
Dessert there was also delicious – we had the peach bread and the creme brulee

Wonderful hidden gem!! The service and atmosphere are lovely. The bean spread served with bread was a great amuse bouche. We had the braised lamb and the sesame crusted salmon. The ginger plum sauce on the salmon was absolutely incredible!! Definitely recommend this spot.

The cuisine is mostly Mediterranean with a Moroccan take. I think it’s a Moroccan/french fusion. The menu is rich, and the food is soooooo good. Service was excellent, and the atmosphere is very cozy, sweet and romantic. I think it’s great for a date night (first or otherwise), friends night out or even solo dining.
We made reservations very easily on a Saturday, and I think there were still some availability for walk ins when we got there.
Street parking is available all around the block. It depends of course on what day/time you visit, but I don’t think it’s an issue.
All the items on their menu are halal except the duck and the filet mignon.

Great meal! Figs is a true hidden gem in Fairmount. Enjoyed a wonderful dinner on a Saturday evening. Our server, Layla, was pleasant and attentive. She welcomed our questions and helped us with our choices. For an appetizer, we had the brie which was tasty (8 out of 10). For entrees we had sesame crushed salmon (8 out of 10) and the ciuppin (10 out of 10). Dessert was delicious as well– coffee & pistachio ice cream and the warm apple cobbler. Highly recommend. Don’t forget to bring your favorite beverage (BYOB).

We went to Figs because of its proximity to the Art Museum and ended up finding a hidden gem. A little restaurant with a truly enjoyable atmosphere, the service was prompt and friendly, and the food was absolutely delicious. The filet mignon was cooked to perfection and the chicken came in this tangy and bright sauce that was a very nice experience. We also tried the hummus and the baba ganoush, which were nice and had a good texture. The brie is another very good appetizer option. We didn’t know the restaurant is BYOB but that’s a great thing if you want to enjoy a wine with your meal. Absolutely will come back to Figs in the future.

Some of the worst tasting food I’ve had in the city personally. We ordered soup and appetizers and not one thing tasted good or normal besides the baba ganoush. The soup tasted gross in my opinion. The dessert was advertised as a brownie and ice cream but then was more like ice cream cake with more ice cream? Way overpriced.
Update: While we may have finished most of the food that doesn’t negate that it was awful to us. Some of the worst hummus I’ve ever had which is such a weird thing to not be able to make well. The owner is childish and replies to any negative review as if it’s a personal attack. I’ve never gone to a restaurant in the city where almost everything we ate was either weird, poorly advertised, or poorly made in my opinion. If I wanted a free meal I would have asked for a free meal but I didnt. In fact we tipped the staff well despite having to call him over several times. I would personally avoid at all costs.
Also I have a picture of the receipt and we were charged $1 for a side of pita which isn’t an issue but the owner states that it was provided free.
