Great service, but the eats are quite a let down. The almond croissant and margherita flatbread tasted stale and a little tough. The options are pretty limited. Some cookie options, a few different croissants, coffee cake, and two flatbreads. Considering this is a bakery and not a cafe that also happens to served baked goods, I expected more options and better quality. Out of all the items, only two were savory. The rest was sweet. The coffee was fine though. I went on a Saturday afternoon, so maybe they had more baked goods to choose from earlier in the day. The service was great, though! Very friendly. If your visiting the area and want a snack, you might be disappointed here.

The sourdough bread is the highlight here and worth the trip alone. Breakfast sandwiches are solid and the coffee is above average. Popular items sell out early so arriving before 10am is a good idea. Day-old bread discounts are available if you ask. The morning rush can feel hectic and portions run a bit small for the price.

As someone who is not from West Hartford, HBC will definitely be on my recommendation list. The staff is so friendly, especially Tom who sent me and my family off with a sourdough loaf after my first visit (which I tried and was amazing) and a box of pastries the next day after having breakfast there. The food was great and the pastries were amazing!! 10/10

I absolutely love Hartford Baking Company. While everything here is high quality, I have to give a special shout-out to the cranberry orange scones, they are honestly the best I’ve ever had! Perfect texture and flavor. They pair perfectly with their hot drinks, which are always delicious. If you’re looking for a cozy spot for a treat in the morning, this is the place in West Hartford for sure.

Very solid bakery and breakfast spot!
I got a latte and the E-BAT sandwich, both of which are really tasty.
Only complaint is that it’s a bit expensive, but that is hardly the fault of anyone in the building.
I’ve also gotten the Miche loaf in the last and it was very good!
I will definitely return here for a local spot with very solid goods and friendly & welcoming employees!

This bakery is a staple in the Hartford area, offering some of the city’s best baked goods. They have a delectable variety of breakfast and lunch items. Even on their busiest days, they are fast, efficient, and consistent, without any compromise on food quality. Highly recommend this place—it won’t break the bank.

I tried their
scrambled eggs, black beans, avocado, cheese and spiced potatoes in a whole wheat wrap – this was flavorful and delicious. Loved how the eggs were cooked and toppings were great
I just love how every item was customizable and you could substitute on the app! Definitely makes ordering food more convenient and I want to try their other breakfast options

Chocolate croissant without chocolate. First time trying Hartford baking company, and was completely disappointed, the chocolate was hollow with a less than a dime size drop of chocolate inside.

Awesome place to work! Plus the food and drinks are amazing. Matcha is my go-to but my goal is to try the entire menu. So far so good! They also do a great job of avoiding plastic when possible. The word is out so expect crowds on weekends.

Great place to get some breakfast and do some work. This place has a nice upstairs where you sit can overlook the center, or sit in the booths etc. They also finally fixed there Wifi too! I got the chocolate croissant which was delightful, but I will say it lacked most of the chocolate. Overall a nice place!
