Would come back to try their other menu items.
The place is small and there’s not a lot of seating, but there is a salsa bar so that’s plus
The main restaurant has been a staple in our city for years and has excellent Jalisco style offerings. Truly the best carne asada platter around. The meat is very tender and has authentic flavors. His pork dishes are also very good with tasty green tomatillo salsa. Salsas are all fresh. And what is often most important to those from Mexico is the taste of the beans, he offers refried pinto beans ( as good as my mom made) and frijoles de la olla…
New in town is Kique’s ( nickname for Enrique). The taqueria serves burritos, quesadillas and of course tacos. The servings are generous and meat is well prepared and seasoned nicely.
One thing that is of utmost importance for a good tasting taco is the corn tortilla. Kique’s tortillas are thin white corn and the tacos are prepared expertly, the flavor reminds me of how they would taste if the taquero was right there serving them to you hot of the flat top. Not sure what makes the tortillas taste this way but it surely differentiates Kique’s tacos from any other street taco I have had here in town..
My husband tried the al pastor quesadilla, those are made with flour tortillas, white cheese and a generous portion of pork al pastor. It too got rave reviews from him.
I’d take a picture but they’re all gone.
Birria tacos are also incredible. Don’t sleep on Kique’s!!
