My first time trying Peruvian cuisine. LOVED IT! The atmosphere in the restaurant is inviting. The food was excellent. I wondered if it would be too spicy for this Scandinavian palate – NOT SPICY, JUST FLAVORFUL). We started with an appetizer: Yuca a la Huancaina (Fried Yucca, looks like large potato wedges with a cheese creamy dipping sauce). Delicious. Then my two friends had the Pollo a La Brasa (rotisserie chicken). It came with a side salad and fries. They thoroughly enjoyed each bite. I had the Lomo a Lo Pobre (steak stir fry-which was tender and flavorful, rice and French fries, topped with a fried egg, and two pieces of sweet plantain.) I’ve had plantain before, and this was excellent.
Our server, Jasmine, was outstanding. She was enthusiastic and took the time to explain the menu to us.
Service, food, atmosphere: excellent. This may be my new favorite restaurant.

Went for lunch when they first opened. Same as dinner menu. Chicken was nice and tender. Yuka fries were exactly as expected and loved it. Rice and salad was okay.

Second location for a great Peruvian food! I tried the anticucho as a starter with the Passion fruit prepared by Mijail! It was great. For the main dish, I did the fettuccine with Lomo Saltado and it made my night. I ended up trying the old Fashion Peruvian style, which was very good.
I have only good words for the amazing time and food I had in this location. I will recommend this to my friends and family.

Went here for my birthday dinner with a large group. The food was delicious and the service excellent even with our big table. The Duo Mi Peru was wonderful and I really liked the Chicha Morada (Purple Corn Juice) too! Definitely will be returning again. I am so glad they have come to our neighborhood!

Updated review 2/14/26:

We came back for a valentines dinner. The food is still outstanding, the service however was very poor this time around. The servers appeared confused, not paying attention to customers and they kept seating people who didn’t get greeted for 20 min or more. My husband’s food came out 30 minutes before mine and I waited watching the chaos unfold. It may have been a unique night given the holiday. We’ll still come back, just not on a weekend until staff if ready to take on paying guests/demand.

This place is amazing! We tried the classic ceviche, shrimp soup and chicken fried rice. The ceviche tasted just like the Peruvian restaurants in Miami I’ve been to. The portions are generous with plenty to take back home. We’ve been waiting for this place to open and it did not disappoint. It’s our new local favorite. Can’t wait to come back!

I’m so happy Mi Causa opened this second venue. The food has the same quality and flavor like it does in the venue at Burnsville. The space is bigger and the service was friendly. I got the lomo saltado with fettuccine a la huancaina and it didn’t disappoint, my husband ordered the ceviche carretillero and it was delicious and fresh. We are for sure coming back to this restaurant, specially because it’s just 15 min from my house. Can’t wait to see all the things this new venue has to offer.

Food is the only thing worth coming for- nothing else. We came on their first busy holiday as they’ve only opened one month. They rushed arouns frantic noone spoke to us for a solid 3 mins before anyone came. The older man couldn’t decide to seat us or close early. They sat us. We couldn’t get his attention again when we wanted- don’t know if he couldn’t hear or he was ignoring us twice. The other waitress we asked for help 2x, she also ignored us. The only waiter kind enough was the youngest girl. She helped us everything and didn’t “pretend” not to see us or hear us. The big family behind us directly to their waitress 3x and she literally walked by them without looking ao they helped themselves to things they needed nearby. This made us stressed since we heard their stress. This is very bad for business when customers grumble loud enough for other tables to hear. When food came out, all the waiters had no idea which table the food went to. They had to fumble through many paper receipts to see which table ordered it. Then they sent 2 of the same order to our table. The chef came out to check as well because even he was confused. Then the chef went back and started talking on his cell phone in the food prep/cooking area. His assistant then started eating while standing in the same food prep area with the restaurant still having customers in jt. The food was great, but they sent our salads when we were more than halfway through our main entrees with no communication on why the salads were late. The women’s bathroom was also almost out of toilet paper with no replacements anywhere. I get that they are new, but their attention to detail and customer service is extremely poor.
