This is one of my favorite spots for fried fish. It’s not greasy but it’s got a lil soul dripping off it. The fish sandwich combo is a fish platter with two pieces of bread and it never fails!
It’s a take out spot just large enough for a few people to put in their orders. So don’t think you’re gonna sit down with your people at a table and kick it. This get it and go. Go find a spot where no one is gonna ask you to share!

I Had 2 Wait Over 30 Minutes With Only 3 People In The Store. U Put Fish in Basket Grease Hot . Already 5 – 6 Minutes It’s Done. The Fish Greasy Not Fried Enuff. It Was A Mushy MESS! This is the most nastiest restaurant. Please check your food where ever you go before you leave. I have spent my money here for the last time. The obvious mold your selling to customers is wrong. And to be black owned???? . You should be ashamed of yourselves. Don’t buy. Don’t waste your good money on people who don’t primarily care about the food they make and sell. I’m all for supporting a black-owned, whole-in-the-wall. However, this was an unfortunate experience.
Like the reviews read, the customer service experience is SUB-PAR. The mother behind the counter is warm, energetic and funny (and frankly the only reason to visit). However that DAUGHTER- Good Lawd she is mean and unapproachable!!!
A simple “Welcome! How can I help?” might have made me over-look the bland and over-cooked noodles in my Mac & cheese.
Less attitude would have convinced me to disregard the excessively breaded and flavorless shrimp.
Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case here. I wouldn’t say that Popeye’s is “BETTER”, but at least you know what you’re getting when you go to Popeye’s ♀️

Cashiers cannot count, they gave me back the wrong change twice. i ordered a catfish sandwich they gave me two pieces of fish No Bread.. and when i went back to get the bread and my change they gave me moldy bread. Lady at the front was RUDE aswell !
