LOVED IT!! Everything was absolutely delicious. I ordered a chicken tandoori lunch special. Naan bread was so light and went well with curry. My husband got the lamb curry combo and I kept stealing from his plate lol! Would 100% come back here. Prices are reasonable and service was great.

A Hidden Gem in Culver City!

Jasmine Restaurant is a cozy delight with bold, comforting flavors. My absolute favorite was the lamb biryani which was rich and aromatic, perfectly spiced. I enjoyed the mohinga fish soup, warming and flavorful, and the kauk swe thoke salad added a fresh, tangy crunch to the meal. Don’t miss their falooda, it’s the perfect sweet treat to end on. Friendly service, great portions, and a menu that invites you to explore. Can’t wait to come back!

We ordered enough feast for a party of eight. There were only four of us, and we had so many leftovers. The portions were very generous.
We ordered beef fried noodles, tofu salad (the tofu looked like mango!), chicken fried rice, garlic naan, onion naan, and curry chicken. It was a self-serve, we placed our order at the counter and they delivered our dinner to the table. Friendly staff members.

First time for Burmese food. Had the grill but now thinking about it should have gone for something more traditional.

Authentic style, only downside is most seating is outside and if it’s cold you’re just going to have to suck it out!
The chai tea was different to the regular chai I make and drink, worth a try.

Inside is a mini grocery store which has many Burmese style foods 🙂
Keep up the great service.

Not the nicest place to eat at but the food was pretty amazing. There are a lot of choices with the majority having a bit of heat to them.

My partner got the vegetable curry with naan. It was very tasty and a bit salty for me so I think it would have paired better with rice.

I got the shrimp curry and also an order of chicken biryani rice. The spices were on point but the chicken was a bit dry. It actually was an excellent dish to pair with the vegetable curry in my opinion.

Parking was a bit difficult since all I was able to find was street parking.

Seating was limited and would probably recommend getting things to go if it’s busy.

Despite these little things i would definitely recommend going here for some excellent food! Thinking of getting something tomorrow actually….

I am so thankful for my Burmese friend for introducing me to this Burmese/Indian spot. The restaurant/market is so low-key but they sell some good stuff!

Parking is free on the street on Sundays, otherwise it’s metered and you have to pay during the week.

Dishes I ordered and liked:
-lamb biryani $18. This is a filling dish that is shareable. It comes with the most tender lamb in a bed of red/orange rice. It was so flavorful.
-cucumber yogurt. I am not sure if this came with the lamb, but it was soooo good.
-peas & naan $6. This was my first time having peas as a dip with naan. It was surprisingly very delicious. The naan was thin and crispy.
-Fish cake salad. I actually don’t see it on the menu, but my friend ordered this. It came with a bowl of soup.
-Myanmar chai $2 for small. This was great hot milk tea. (I didn’t taste the Indian-type of chai)

I love tea leaf salad, so I would want to try that next time. They have neat items in the market.

Credit card/Apple Pay accepted. Bathroom is in the back.

Delightful meal of lab biryani and beef curry! The naan is light but perfectly crisped. It’s a TON of food for a good price. The atmosphere with the little market and the outdoor dining with market lights and overhang were very charming

A very interesting eating experience. It’s similar to Indian/Nepalese food, but distinctly different. We had the Haleem Beef, the fish soup (supposedly the National dish) and a couple of other dishes. They were all pretty good, especially the chicken curry puff. The banana bread was really good. The outdoor seating area was breezy and nice, but very tight.

Love this place been coming here since 2000 when the first owners were here. Best Burmese place around. So glad they are being recognized more and the new owners definitely made this place a lot more inviting plus hes such a chill dude. I’d come for the food it self but the ambient transport you out of LA. Love this place.
