My favorite food item from Dairy Queen is the chicken strip basket. My first time getting it from this location and it’s not even real chicken. The ranch tasted like Hidden Vally and it was just all wrong.

I went through the drive through about 90 min ago. I asked the guy taking my order, “what comes on the cheeseburger?” He said to me, “just ketchup, mustard, and pickles.” I said, “great, I’ll take that meal.” Then he asked me what drink I wanted and if I wanted the sundae or to substitute it with a blizzard. I asked what flavors they had. He said to look on the board. Those menus are so confusing because they look cluttered. I ordered a chocolate strawberry cheesecake one. I was not told there would be an extra $2.00 charge for the blizzard. The blizzard looked like it wasn’t worth that much and was small so did I forfeit the sundae just to pay more? When I got up there I was told the total would be $10.69. I said that the menu said $7.99. He said I got a blizzard upgrade. I said I didn’t know there was an extra charge. But I paid it anyways. Then as I pulled away, I opened my cheeseburger. It not only had ketchup, mustard, and pickles, but also mayonnaise, lettuce, tomatoes, and onions. Yuck!!! And it was a double cheeseburger. I can tolerate most of the extras on top, but absolutely NO onions. They nauseate me, smell like dirty socks, disgust my taste buds. I turned around to go back through to exchange it but saw a line coming and I had a meeting to get to. I just scraped the onions off but boy, could I smell them. It turns my stomach to smell them in the car. Plus, they gave me a large sandwich. Not a small. That tells me that people there are not paying attention to what we say.

I thought the food (cheeseburger, fries, sundae, & fountain drink) were good. The fries were particularly good Food was ordered and then brought to your table. Atmosphere wise, it could probably use an update. Furthermore, there was a lot of background noise (like a vacuum cleaner?) That never quit while we were there. TV on wall was turned off – I’m unsure of the story there.

Blizzard survived being upside down (unlike Boone). They were very busy on the hot and humid day, but they took my order quickly and it was ready in a few minutes. Great service! Will come again

We sat for about 30 minutes waiting for our blizzards. No one ahead of us ordered anything large, no apologies for the long wait, drive through attendant was texting while we were waiting for our food. Just a horrible experience. Oh and one of our blizzards was not only the wrong flavor but half melted.

My family has traveled a lot and this is the cleanest most welcome place we have seen in a long time. The food was hot and ready very fast. Even the restroom was clean and stocked. You and your employees should be proud.

My family and I used to enjoy eating there once in awhile. It has been more than a year since the last time that we had something from DQ in Story City. Today we stop by for a blizzard. Right as you walk in you can see they really need to put a good effort in cleaning. You can see it and you can smell it!!!. We ordered our treats an then a young lady came from the bathrooms area carrying a big bag full of trash and a basket with cleaning supplies. She went behind the counter and she prepared our treats!!! I couldn’t believe what I was watching, my husband and I looked at each other thinking the same….. -we are not going to eat that!!. Then… we received the blizzards and all three of them were more like milkshakes than blizzards. We walk out of there and toss them right to the garbage can that is outside their main door. It wasn’t a good experience for sure. So sad that this place has changed for the bad.

i had the sweetest gal taking my order when i ordered a brownie with ice cream on top. she was putting the order in when an older gentleman started yelling at me in front of everyone. “we can’t do that anymore. it’s against corporate policy!” umm..what? a brownie with vanilla? he raised his voice very loud & was incredibly rude. i took a minute to look over the menu & tried to order something else when he told me he couldn’t do that either. so… what can you make besides blizzards?? the sweet gal working was very caught off guard and apologetic. like it happens all of the time. not even 2 minutes later, a couple + their son came in and he said, “what do you want?” to them. his customer service skills are severely lacking. we will not be making a stop next time we’re in town. 🙁

If there were 10 stars for service this store would get them, and more! Exceptional service, friendly server and manager. Our order was prepared quickly and correctly, such a change from a previous DQ experience in Cameron, MO. The store was clean and well run. We would definitely go back!

I would not go here. They price fouge like crazy. It was $30 for two meals, this is by far the most expensive fast food place I have ever been too. As a comparison taco johns was $15 dollars for two meals. This place rips people off do not water your money or contribute to a place that is price gouging.
