We love it here! Everyone is polite and friendly. The food is hot and they even asked how I would like my bacon cooked aka crispy or not. They always offer to-go cups for our drinks when we are finished eating. The prices are reasonable as well.

The atmosphere can be a little tight, but that’s because people obviously like eating here. We enjoyed a great breakfast and some coffee to go with it. For as occupied as the place was, the service was courteous & surprisingly quick.

My first time eating here! I got the BLT and French fries. They had my found out to me in a few minutes, the fries were hot and fresh, and the bacon was nice and crispy. It was very good and really cheap also! Definitely recommend trying this place if you haven’t yet!

It’s kind of a nostalgic atmosphere with an old lunch counter and bright blue booths. The food is down-home, basic, served on paper plates, and reasonably priced. The young women working the counter and tables were sweet, polite, and local. The place could use a bit of a renovation, but still, it’s that old-fashioned, homey feel that people love. The building is accessible, including the bathroom. Parking on the street. The sign is on the front window. If you love basic diner food and like stepping back in time, it’s worth the adventure!

Cute little place in down town! Prices were reasonablw, staff was friendly, and it had the old diner feel and look. The food is like what you would make at home. Nothing fancy and straight to the point. I had scrambled eggs, crispy bacon and rye toast and I got juat that. No complaints. It is not a huge dining space so seating is limited. If you are looking for no frills small town breakfast. This is your spot!!

I ordered the Western Omelet with hash browns and toast. The food was great and well prepared. Hash browns were cooked perfectly, the omelet had all of the flavors I had expected, but the service was lackluster. There were two people in the diner, and I was only ask about a refill for my coffee once in 45 minutes. It almost made me feel as if I were an outsider, as it was my first visit to this restaurant. I ight come back for the food, but I will not be back for the service. Unfortunate.

Grandmas diner is definitely a nostalgic greasy spoon style diner that you will love for the hometown, homemade, down to earth food. If local rural West Virginia food is not your style then move right along for us locals!!! It was 8.99 for sausage 2 eggs hash browns coffee and rye toast!

A nice small, family run diner right in the middle of charlestown. The seating was in accordance with directives to keep six feet spacing, we are thankful for that. Service was good we are greeted promptly and given menus immediately. The food was good, very much standard breakfast Fair. We did not have to pay an arm and a leg to get it, which was a relief. The bathrooms were quite small but heck you’re not eating in them. All in all, a decent meal and a decent price so it was worth the trip. One thumb up.
