Sundays they close at 3pm. The food was real good. I had the beef fajita. Comes with five tortillas. Hardly any cheese though. I wish their “chips and salsa” chips were warm. They sell Pepsi.
The chimichango could have had more spice but it was good. Tacos were real good.. There’s not enough seating for sure. It was packed. So the service was slower. If in the area. Please try it. It’s worth it.

Food was okay but they’ve got problems with only one person serving tables, looks like a struggle but I don’t wish them bad. Oct 2025

Ordered a drink, never checked on again even after ordering or eating our meal. Wouldn’t be my first choice if wanting decent service. And only 2 other tables in the entire place.

This place would get 5 stars if they had more waitresses. The place was packed for dinner and that’s a good sign. My chicken enchiladas were tasty and made fresh. Rice and beans were good, but not exceptional. It’s too bad they were out of avocados because I really wanted some guacamole. I’ll be back to try more. Also, very fairly priced food. My dinner with two beers was $20.03.

We met friends for a midweek dinner at El Jacalito the parking is plentiful however there was no handicap parking that I saw. The restaurant was handicap accessible from the door to the restrooms. There was a whole row of slot machines that appeared to be covid safe with plenty of space and plexiglass between the machines. The tables were all spaced pretty far apart to also be covid safe.
The service was outstanding she was very friendly and efficient, however it did take a pretty long time to get our bill and carryout order. The food was served hot fresh and very tasty. They are about to cut the hours down for the next 2 months so they are only open until 3pm for the months of July and August of 2021.

Very good Mexican food tastes pretty authentic I’d recommend over other Mexican restaurants.

Location has moved to a much better updated restaurant vibes. Also prices have been adjusted & I posted new prices in pics.

We had an absolutely awesome experience at El Jacalito in Sterling! The tacos were outstanding—my wife and I tried a variety, including chicken, steak, and al pastor, all topped with fresh cilantro and onion. The salsa, especially with a squeeze of lime, elevated the flavors to another level. The quality of the ingredients was exceptional, and everything tasted incredibly fresh and flavorful. We’ll definitely be returning for more of their delicious offerings! Highly recommend!

Food was terrible, had absolutely no flavor!! Just another over rated restaurant in our quest for good food. Very very loud with heat ducts hanging above your head rattling while you are trying to eat.
