This is a small town bar. You know the vibe—cement floor, corrugated metal walls, and wooden tables. My husband and I are all about that when it is clean—it was! We stopped on the way to a concert for supper. My hubby had the BLT with fries while I had the steak salad. We both went away satisfied and happy! Don’t be afraid to stop.

We really enjoyed our dinner and drinks at Depot on 59! The bar had excellent vibes and fun bar games, felt very classic Minnesota. Our server was great!

This place serves basic pub foods such as burgers and appetizers. The atmosphere was nice and the service was amazing. We went during the afternoon kickoff times and were able to view on the multiple televisions.

Mixed review here. This place has the potential to be great. The food has been, for the most part, better than average and bordering on outstanding. However, the service is unbelievably slow with staff frquently unfocused. Wait times for a simple burger and fries meal have taken upwards of 45+ minutes to deliver with very few other patrons present.
In it’s defense it is a roadhouse and bar. That said, bar patrons seem to take priority over diners. Depending on the crowd, things can get loud, and conversation can get difficult.
The food is spendy, and depending on the order, the portions have been rediculously small, particularly the salads.
Overall, an average score here. My belief is that with a little polish and better customer focus, this place could really shine.
10/2/25. Update.
Consistency is everything. The last couple of visits have been fair to good. Tonight not so much. Ordered the Cajun Shrimp Alfredo to go. The garlic toast was soggy and tasted of rancid butter. The alfredo also tasted off and even smelled slightly off. I ended up tossing most of it after a few bites.
I also had a quick Margarita at the bar. Being a bartender, I was amazed to witness the bartender adding water to the mix after pouring it from the shaker into a cocktail glass.
Truthfully, for a ten dollar low ball, it was terrible.
Now, I know this bar can do better. I have seen it. I have tasted it. Like I said, consistency is everything.
Living where I do makes dining out challenging, experiences like this make it frustrating.
When the older couple is working the joint I have good experiences, when others cover, not so much.

On our way back home from Maplewood, decided to stop for lunch. Food was very good (Boxcar patty melt & prime rib sandwich). Folks were friendly, nice atmosphere and service was great! Plan to stop again next time we’re in the area and have their ribs. Had a taste of their barbecue sauce and it was delicious!!

Walked in and was surprised how clean and neat it was! Ordered steak bites, ,pretzel bites and wedge fries for appetizers. They were awesome and full of flavor thanks to Abbys fine cooking! Had margaritas as well and they also were made exactly as we like them! We definitely will be coming here again! This will be a must stop for vacationers heading for the cabin!!!

Truck driver here, wanted to get something to eat and stopped by this bar/restaurant. They had parking where i could fit my semi truck. I placed an order to eat there and one to go. The train wreck burger was incredible, when they said thick cut bacon they meant it! Flavor was amazing. To go i got the loungecar club. Hand cut turkey and ham, 3 slices of bread, tomatoes lettuce just a great big sandwich. The fries were fresh and crispy. Definitely worth the stop. They have a full bar as well which I couldn’t enjoy cuz I had to go back to driving but there was plenty of people taking advantage of the bar. Overall great stop, definitely will be back when the road takes me that way again.

Cute little spot on the way to Maplewood. Nice quiet area with a spot to sit out back. Food was really good. Four stars only because the water tasted very irony.
