Ribs were unreal. Stew was good. Plenty of hot and hotter BBQ sauce options along with the typical Sweet, Tangy, Original. Banana pudding was out od this world! Kids split a piggy melt and LOVED it!!

We love stopping here on our way to NC! It is by far some of the best Bar B Q you can get any where. Our regular order is a quart of pulled pork, buns, potato salad, cole slaw and you can not forget the banana pudding some of the best I have ever had. I’ve had others items on the menu and you can’t go wrong with anything! Make it a must to eat here or get it to go like we do if you are staying in Helen or just passing through as we do. The outdoor eating area is a nice relaxing place to sit and enjoy your meal. You will not be disappointed! Can’t wait for our next stop at this delicious establishment!

Ribs and fries were better than average 8/10. Fast service, but place is run down. Sides I would pass on potato salad and slaw were a miss. Wife’s salad was horrible had to toss seating area is very run down and needs cleaning and updates

Good pulled pork, great Brunswick stew. Prices were good, service was excellent. Would definitely stop here anytime I’m in Helen. Fried pie was delicious as well.

After having eaten Brunswick stew all up and down the east coast, I swear this place has the best by far!! The base had more of a BBQ sauce flavor whereas most other places have a tomato taste!! Highly recommend this place!!

We arrived on the 4th of July, maybe we should have thought about our timing.. the crowds were large from the families tubing and those gathering for the fireworks, we just wanted good BBQ. The ribs were good with a spicy rub that my fiance found needed some taming down with one of the house sauces. He said the meat was hot but the bones were cold..trying to keep up with the crowd I can see now. I had the pig melt which had great smoke and the sauce was yummy. I’d go back when the crowd is smaller and the smoker is smoking. Casual eating outside at picnic tables, some covered, some with umbrellas. Order inside and get your number, pick up back inside. Parking is surrounding the building, let them know you are there to eat, not tube the river across the street.

Highly recommended. Delicious food served in large portions with a reasonable price. No frills restaurant woth outdoor seating that doesn’t skimp on quality or service!! Looking forward to the next visit.

This place was quick and easy and the food is great. The portion size for the sides is small but it was still good. A few sauces to choose from as well.

Had Chicken and ribs, and both were very good. Pulled pork was also very good. Potato salad was good, but the cole slaw was a bit of a disappointment. Also, baked beans seemed a little generic, but still good nonetheless. The ribs were the best I’ve had in a long time. The portions are also very generous, so you shouldn’t go away hungry. Be advised that this is a small establishment with no indoor seating, but plenty of outdoor seating, so be prepared to eat outside or do as lots of others did, and do take out. Only thing we were sorry about was we didn’t try the banana pudding, which according to several other reviews is the best. Overall, if you like good BBQ in a no frills atmosphere, check out North Georgia BBQ.
