I’ve decided to try to find a good Chinese restaurant in the area. I pass this place all the time when leaving from the grocery store. You could easily miss the place, being so tucked in on the little part of the street that not too many people go down. But maybe that’s what attracted me to it. Sometimes it’s the hole in a wall place that have the most lit food. Unfortunately, that was but the case with this one.
I’ll give the good first. Right off the bat I noticed the place is immaculately clean. The floors, the rug, the chairs and tables. By far one of the cleanest eatery I’ve been in. I even took video! Next, the staff was quick to greet me and take my order. I asked if they had mooshu, to which the lady said yes. I ordered my go to, mooshu shrimp. She asked if I wanted pancakes or rice. That threw me off because I’ve never had to choose. It’s a dish that always comes with both. In all the years, cities, restaurants that I’ve purchased this, it’s come with both. She said it’ll be extra. Okay wth… I’ll pay the extra.
I ordered fried dumplings and an eggroll as well. I sat and waited. The young girl ringing me up was so polite and congenial. You can tell this is a family business. Love, love, love that.
So I got home. Was happy to see a small little bag of warm, fresh fried wonton! I love those.
The bad –
Tried the dumplings first. Gummy! The dough wrap was just thick and chewy. Reminded me of the japanese mochi. also, the sauce for the dumplings was thick and not the tangy umami flavor you’d expect with dumplings. At first I thought maybe I’d opened the Hoison sauce for the mooshu, but nope, I saw that one in the bag still. The sauce looked and tasted more like a brown gravy.
Took a bite of the egg roll. Again, the crust was just kinda thick. I don’t know what they are using, but stop!
Put my rice in the bowl, topped it with my mooshu, mixed in my hoison sauce. It was good. The veggies are cut very thin, like angel hair pasta, which I didn’t really like. I prefer it rough cut. This thin, you risk it getting a mushy texture. This was right on the brink. The rice was nice and well cooked. But the shrimp.. some were OKAY, and others were kinda mushy. I mean, over cooked shrimp is usually hard and rubbery, these were just too soft.
I don’t know. I really was hoping to strike gold with this place. And the people were so nice, and the store so clean, it would have been perfect. But unfortunately, I won’t be going back unless I hear otherwise from others.

Oh my goodness! The food was amazing! So delicious and fresh! The barbecue ribs were perfection- perfectly cooked and seasoned! The egg rolls are the best I’ve ever had in the United States… the pork fried rice was definitely delicious! I wish I was visiting the city for longer, so I could eat here multiple times! Great job! Beautiful people! Accessible location with parking! Authentic food and vibe! Very sweet people and the best customer service! I didn’t take any pictures because I ate everything immediately, like in the car on the way to the hotel…

I ordered chicken wings and plain friend rice. It said 4 pieces. In a normal world, you get 4 wings at the average Chinese takeout restaurant. This was two wings cut in half. For the price, absurd. I’m an adult, what am I to do with 2 small chicken wings. This was my first and last visit to this dusty little hole in the wall.

Tasty food, obviously made with love, care and a standard of quality which is evident in the cleanliness of the restaurant too. They seem to take pride in the everyday work and are consistently very honest and pleasant to deal with. The wonton soup is amazing.

The Owners Sam and Nina are so lovely
They’ve been family friends of my boyfriends for, forever.
They are excellent in the kitchen, and are always kind and lovely to talk to!
They’ve always made any accommodation I need to any dish.
The pan fried noodles with chicken and beef are the bomb… the steamed dumplings too!!
They have been a staple in his life, and now I’m mine!
I will always recommend them!

I love this place I love the food. It’s the only Chinese food place that has done it right, in terms of quality, quantity and taste; it has the trifecta. I always get the general chicken chef special and sometimes their combination lunch that comes with a egg roll, Also their crisply beef is good. I just wouldn’t recommend the sweet or sour chicken but everything else in their menu is pretty good.

Worst chinese I ever ordered, all the food (>$100) was cooked with bad oil and my entire family got diarrhea. NEVER ORDER FROM HERE

My family has been going here for years. Love the food, portions and the owners. Always friendly. I can’t recommend any specific dish as I think we’ve had just about everything on their menu!! I believe that they’re the only place that offers Lo Mein with no veggies already on their menu, but they do cater to your preferences if asked.

Food was so so. I ordered the broccoli beef combo plate. They barely put any rice. The service was good but the atmosphere is hot. They don’t have an ac. So it’s better to take your food to go. I wouldn’t recommend them tbh. If you want subpar food then this is the place. I already posted a picture but I was hungry. Didn’t think to take one, but it looks like I’m not the only one complaining about the portion sizes.

I had Sam make me an egg drop soup with a couple of wontons in it. It was great. Better than the egg drop soup by itself. I like all the food there.
