Well this place was a surprise to go check out my hunt for the best chili cheese hamburger. You walk in and it’s definitely a bar set up. But I have been in these kinds of bars and they surprise you with better food the nice restaurants. After reading about them it’s let’s go find out for myself. The chili cheese burger is the best one I have found so farts in the treasure valley. The Thai chili sauce ( which is made in house) was the finishing touch to the burger. The chili was excellent and is a keeper. The onion rings were the kind that when you bite into them the remaining onions don’t try to come out. Talked with Sam ( the owner ) about them and he said they went through different providers before picking these out and they were excellent. Cory the cook was very conversational and I like him a lot. PS it’s rare that I give anyplace a five star rating.

Great neighborhood bar, somewhat divey, but well kept and clean. Two decent pool tables and several dart machines. Food is very good. Staff is great. I’m not a drinker but I come here for the food. Brisket sandwich is excellent. Burgers are fantastic. Definitely worth checking out if you’ve never been there, or returning if you have.

Me and my wife went together for the first time here and was the best experience we had since we moved to Boise. J and Tucker was excellent bartenders!!!! There customer service was GREAT and the atmosphere in there was on point! I will definitely be a regular going forward! See you guys on Sunday!

Usually I just go into Sams and have a couple of beers, but this time i ordered 3 cheeseburgers with onion rings. The didn’t take real long, it was packaged well and I took it home. When i got home I checked the order and it was by far the best carry out order I’ve had from anywhere. The burgers were cooked perfect. And they were juicy and hot. Onion rings tasty perfect. And all 3 of us raved about the smoky fry sauce. And I dont care for fry sauce. I didnt get names but the bartender was great taking my order and bringing it to me, and the gal cooking, im terrible at names, has been there for a while . Great job on our order. Excellent!!! And I worked over 50 years in the restaurant industry. I will definitely be back for return visit.

I haven’t tried the food there yet. But I’m sure one day I will. It’s a awesome little dive bar as far as theat goes. The service is always good. And the atmosphere is chill. Karaoke is usually why we stop in. And that is always a good time.

We were very pleasantly surprised at the quality of food! First time there and will return. Had great clam chowder, fish and chips, and chicken strips and tots. Not healthy but delicious flakey breading! Great sauce too!

For a bar with a very casual atmosphere (very casual) it has great service- for a treat, some top shelf liquor and THE best food- it’s a serious surprise of fantastic food!

Don’t be scared by it’s looks- very friendly, great bar staff, trivia night and karaoke are always fun. Food is quality smoked chicken and pork. They have a breakfast menu and some breakfast cocktails. 4 different house made barbecue sauces representing each region of bbq. Try it out, you’ll make new friends and have a good night. dart boards and pool tables, outside patio.

Food is amazing, honestly worth just going for dinner. The BBQ takes the chef a day to make in the smoker and you can tell. Get the brisket sandwich. Cheapest and best pool tables in the valley, no smoking inside so it doesn’t stink. My wife and I are loyal to Sam’s club
If you want a place with real community, where you get to know the regulars and the bartenders, Sam’s is a home away from home. As a Scotsman, I really miss the pub atmosphere of the UK, and this has it in its own American way.
