Easter 2023.. Oh my! We had the Easter buffet and it was out of this world delicious. Barbara waited on us and she was like a beacon light in the fog of people. She waited on us with a beautiful smile and wonderful personality and never missed a beat. Robert would take out empty dishes promptly and kept everything moving swiftly. This is a wonderful place to have an Easter buffet. They had everything you want including a drink for a set price. The manager’s name was Nathan and he took her reservation a couple of months ago. He was pleasant. The whole experience was everything that we could possibly hope for. Thank you very much.

We did not eat dinner here, but rather a late lunch and also outside at the tiki car which shares the same non-dinner menu. We ordered the smash burgers for a late lunch. The burgers were delicious! Not really “smashed” but had two patties and all the toppings on a brioche bun. It was so tall, it was impossible to pick up and bite the whole thing. That’s okay, though! The fries were super delicious and crispy. The tea tasted a little strange, but that wasn’t enough to knock off a star. Days we ate at the tiki bar, we ordered the chicken tenders and fries. The tenders were hot and had a nice seasoning without being overly breaded. I didn’t get any photos of the chicken, unfortunately. The staff were super friendly and fun to chat with both inside and outside. We saw other people’s meals and thought it all looked great. Definitely a bit upper scale but not too much to have ridiculous prices. Prices were on point for a resort.

We stayed at the Plantation two nights, enjoyed dinner and breakfast at West 82. Breakfast is an all you can eat buffet, great selection of everything from cereal and yoghurt to eggs, sausage, bacon, and sausage gravy biscuits. Very tasty. Dinner was steak for me and a seafood platter for my wife. Well prepared, very good. Breakfast was $15.99 each, dinner with drinks was $120 before tip. Beautiful dining room and super friendly staff.

Went there for dinner Friday night.
The good:
Food was excellent. Loved the grouper special and friends really liked the prime Rib.
Our waitress was nice but seemed a little to busy.
Prices are very fair for that quality of food
The not so good:
Food took over 1 hour to get our entrees. Do not plan on.a quick dinner here
We had to call out our waitress several times. This was probably because we were waiting so long for dinner

Being here felt like an eternity. I couldn’t wait to leave becuase of how disorganized the whole experience was. The first thing you get at a restaurant is water on the table. Being a hot day I was looking forward to the simple hard to mess up beverage. To be polite the water tastes like it came from the toilet at best. Second the wine to table speed is horrendous. Also I spend the whole meal without a refill on my coke. The most frustrating part was the server coming back without what we asked for 10 minutes ago and having to remind them again. The whole time I felt like there was a lack of communication happening somewhere. The food was very dissapionting. Shrimp and grits were over salted and way to rich to be enjoyable for more then a few bites. Prime Rib was almost tastless no good sear or flavor. All I can say is you can go to any common chain of sit down restaurants such as bjs and walk out for half the price and be satisfied with nothing major to complain about.

It was convenient to eat breakfast here prior to our fishing days with the guides lined up through The Plantation in Crystal River. Later in the week we discovered another restaurant nearby (Grannie’s); better menu variety and eggs were properly cooked to our liking, not runny whites. We were pleased with West 82 when the chef prepared Snook fillets from our fishing one day.

Pleasant atmosphere. I ordered an arugula salad with pine nuts that I was a little disappointed in, but my entree made up for it. I ordered the steak au poivre and it was amazing. My fiancé ordered the shrimp and grits and also was not disappointed. Just beware that the menu that was available to view online was slightly different than the menu offered the day of in the restaurant. Highly recommend!
