The owners are very caring with their customers. Yesterday, I went to order a large Take Out because my family was coming to see my husband who had recently come home from brain surgery. Daniel, one of the owners was very considerate & caring & made sure my order was prioritized. God bless this restaurant!

The service is terrible here!!
I should’ve seen the warning signs. My party of 3 waited in the lobby for 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged us and sat us.
Another 10 minutes before anyone came to our booth to ask us if we wanted something to drink. Once our drinks came out to us 10 minutes later (a Pepsi, coffee and a water) were we given chips and salsa. 20 minutes later when our food was delivered (bowl of menudo, caldo de res and an arroz) we asked for refills on the water, coffee and the chips. 15 minutes later, I asked a different waitress for the refills again because we hadn’t received them. When I asked for the check the waitress brought out a coffee and refilled my water. Still no chips.
In a time when restaurants should be providing quality service and showing their customers that they care so that they return, the staff that helped us tonight at Señor Campos did not care. Those that read this review spend your money elsewhere.

I don’t want to come off as if I’m bashing this place because I really did want to like it here but there really aren’t any redeeming qualities. The food was mediocre but they did serve big portions. The restaurant did look nice but bland. After we placed our order we did not see the server again the entire time. The check wasn’t even dropped off at our table. We had to go to out front to hunt down our server. They then did the calculations for our bill on a 1997 Casio calculator before processing our card without telling me the total. I don’t know what that was about when they did have a real register there. Anyway, first and last time coming to this place

*forgot to originally include the fact that their bathrooms were out of service to top it all off

My wife and I have been here twice and love it. It’s has an old school Mexican restaurant and the food is great. I just wish they would dim the lights a bit. I highly recommend it.

I’ve seen Kitchen Nightmares and always thought those types of restaurants couldn’t possibly exist until I visited this one. I truly don’t understand how this place has good reviews and don’t be fooled it’s not authentic at all, there is no flavor.. maybe to white people because that’s all that I actually see eat here. The service was great, but unfortunately, that didn’t make up for the absolutely dreadful food. First the mild salsa tasted like like stewed tomatoes straight out of a can still with the metallic taste. The spicy was good not spicy though. I ordered the fish tacos and albondigas soup. The albondigas soup was lukewarm, tasted like onion water with zero seasoning, and the meatballs were bland no salt, no flavor, just nothing. I’m still baffled by how something like that could be served.
As for the fish tacos, they were even worse. The battered white fish was soggy, sitting on a cold tortilla with some lettuce and shredded, pre-packaged cheese yes, cheese on a fish taco! But the real kicker? No sauce! It was incredibly dry and the fish didn’t taste like anything literally nothing. The rice was fine nothing special. To make matters worse, I ended up with salmonella (I’m talking a full week of sickness). I’m not being harsh here. I have no reason to lie, and I’d strongly advise anyone to avoid this place at all costs or eat here at your own risk!!

I’ve been coming here since I was a kid. It was my first time coming back in over 30 years because I moved away. The place looks the same, old and outdated, but that’s part of their charm. The booths still look the same. The atmosphere is dark and dingy, but don’t let that fool you. The food is still good but was lacking in some flavor. I started off with a glass of sangria which was quite refreshing. I had the albondigas soup to start. It was good but could have used a bit more salt for flavor. I ordered the arroz con pollo and it was dryer than I recall it used to be, however it was still good.

The staff were older ladies who were nice and friendly but slower than molasses. The lady took our drink order, but we didn’t get our drinks until the ifood cane. Seriously, drinks should not take that long.

Prices are extremely reasonable, and it was appreciated, especially now since every other restaurant has jacked up their prices for unnecessary reasons.

I will be back and give it another go in hopes that the service and food taste get better ţo the days I remember.

Came here for lunch and ordered beef soup in Spanish is Caldo de Res. Great flavor served hot with vegetables and a good amount of beef chunks. The beef was tuff and hard to chew. Not fresh old tasting.

Amazing Mexican food seems like one of the more authentic Mexican restaurants I’ve been to. The place is well kept. The service was great very helpful waiters and waitresses. Felt like I couldn’t stop eating with how good the food was. I highly recommend this place!

Food: #8 is my choice. Taco, enchilada, rice, and beans. Authentic and not “Americanized”. Great taste and larg portions!

Service: Place has a Spanish feel to it. Servers wear traditional Mexican clothing. Quick and fast service.

Last Thought: One of the better places to get Mexican food in La Habra. Better than El.Cholo!

DO NOT CHOOSE FOR A VENUE
So my family and I went out to eat here on NOV 15th and they sat us and a few others in someone’s wedding (actually in the reserved wedding tables with themed centerpieces) I felt so bad as we were eating because we were totally intruding on the guests. And I know we were intruding because I couldn’t help but overhear that they were supposed to close off the section to only the wedding by many frustrated wedding guests who didn’t have a place to sit. It was uncomfortable and I just feel terrible for the couple. Nobody wants that when they choose a venue.
