Great customer service, very fresh ingredients, and fairly priced for the giant sandwiches you get! Our order was perfect, even with all of the modifications in our group and it was way less busy than Publix.

Food is 10x better than Hinesville. They actually let the bread rise before baking whereas Hinesville Baldinos bread is paper thin and gets soggy before you get home to eat… also seemed like there was more meat on the Italian Special from this store than on an Italian Battalion from Hinesville, which is supposed to be “the big one” according to the heading on the menu and the price point.
Service was good. Owner is very nice – held the door for me on my way out because my hands were full. Seems like he does almost everything himself, but I get it – it’s hard to find good help these days.
Atmosphere is 3 star because they really should serve sweet tea. Tea is cheap. Every restaurant throws some amount away at night. It’s not wasteful if you make $40 (20 or so teas) a day and throw away $4 worth of tea and sugar at closing…

This is for the store in Ludowici. I went here when they first opened and was very impressed. The service and food could match Hinesville. Today my wife bought my favorite, tuna and brought it to me in Anniston, AL. A 6 hr trip. The bread crust was hard which tells me it might not have been todays. I was very disappointed. I have seen more on a sub from the local gas station. Barely any tuna, lettuce, tomato, etc. obviously they are still working through training help. Even my wife commented on her sub being more bread than sub. It will be some time before I return.

So….I was “chill” and looking for a snack. I suggested subway and the wife suggested Baldinos. Away I go…pass Subway…. I enter the parking lot and enter. Clean store…friendly service. I ask “ are you better than Subway. And the clerk looks and says uhmm, let’s see. I give my order for a foot long… hell make it a combo. I don’t tip cause I’m of skeptical…. I’m Subway through and through.. but the wife. You know. Anyway, I get my order and the clerk say write a review on here either way. So here’s my verdict….. I owe you a double tip next time I come by. You definitely converted me to an official fan. Subway…. I bid thee farewell. It’s been nice. And they have the crunchy air filled ice. Which my wife says it’s pregnant woman approved, whatever that means. See you soon A.J.

So I absolutely love Baldinos… Now the service is recieved was great the 2 younger guys at the front were very nice. The food was fresh and tasted good. However, my main complaint comes from the Bread… this is not the same fresh baked daily bread as Hinesville.. the bread reminded me of the cheap white bread you get at subway… I would probably return but the bread is a killer for me at Baldinos in Ludo, it needs to be the same as Hinesville that’s what makes them unique..

Update 7/27/25. Even after this past review the Owner/manager clearly doesn’t want to spend time or the little extra money to provide sweet tea (A staple of the south). So this coupled with a low effort service at this location, I will continue to drive to Baldinos in Hinesville. It’s had to imagine spending all that time and money to open a restaurant and choose to cut corners to save a few bucks.
Service is an issue here! Nobody smiles. Big gripe is not serving sweet tea all the time. This last visit I asked why there was no tea and was told they simply decided not to make any that day. I went out to get my water and my wife over hears an employee telling the owner that this is a common complaint to which he said he was tired of throwing it away at night. I understand if it isn’t a big seller some days but either offer it everyday or stop selling it! I love the subs, definitely my favorite but if there is no improvement in service or consistency in offering the items they sell, I’ll just go to the Baldinos in Hinesville. They always have Sweet tea and much better customer service.

This Baldino’s is very great in comparison to the one in Hinesville. Great quality, amazing staff, and the service time is literally instant. AJ was the one that served me my delicious sub and all I can say is 10/10 would instantly come back again!

This place is horrible. Everybody seems like they hate their job, the owner. And his family works there also. His family doesn’t really seem to care and just walks out on orders. I’ve seen this with my own two eyes. Horrible food. Also the portions and the quality of the food is not as good as the one in hinesville I will drive all the way to hinesville before I eat here again. It’s like the food is not fresh. And me and the wife have tried this more than once. One time I was up there and supposedly all the stuff was frozen . The meat and some of the veggies save yourself a hassle. Go to Subway here in town even though I’m pretty sure it’s owned by the same people And no, I’m not a big fan of Subway here in town either. But until they get their act together here in town, just go somewhere else that’s been open for a while.

As we all know, the bread can make a sub or ruin it. Let me just say… purfectly soft but at the same time, it was able to holdup to extra oil and vinegar. Each bite was a pleasure. The taste of the meat and veggies combined with the topping and bread was delicious. This was my first time here but I will be back soon. When something tastes that good, you know it was done with pride and love.

I love that Baldino’s has opened in Ludowici on my route home. But the customer service could seek some help. I walked in after a very long work shift and the 2 employees just starred at me and didn’t say a word to me. No smile, no greeting, no nothing. They both seemed like they hated that they had to be at work. Made me want to walk out. But I wanted that sub. After food was made, just handed it to me, again, without a word. Customer service is definitely a thing of the past, but it’ll sure run some customers off.
