I baked professionally ally for many years and always trying to find a good bakery… still looking. I usually try something simple to gauge the quality of the bakery like a lemon tart or a baguette. The lemon tarts had some green in the curd and looked like something from Smiths. The baguettes here are very disappointing as I saw in another review. No flavor or structure or crust. I also tried the spinach feta Danish it had no feta and very little spinach.

We tried to eat lunch at 2 other places in Cedar Crest (Lantern Restaurant and Rumor Brewery) but neither was serving food! So then we saw Le Paris and figured we could get a bite there. We bought 2 filled savory pastries which were OK, a mini eclair which was too sweet for my taste and a baguette. It had to be the worst “baguette” I have ever had. It had no taste and was very soft. To me, it was like eating a supermarket hot dog roll. It’s a shame because I remember the Le Paris Bakery in ABQ being very good. No comparison

I get my bread here regularly, as many others in the area must – because you have to get there earlier to have more choices. All of the bread I have gotten there has been delish. Another review mentioned the “baguette” being not right – perhaps they got the French bread (it’s in a baguette-like shape but different dough).
I sometimes bake my own bread and to have a spot nearby to get fresh daily baked bread without preservatives – such a treat!
I was recommended the tarts – the baker’s specialty. Omg. Too good. Perfect amount of sweetness (most desserts are WAY too sweet for me). My fav is the raspberry but have tried a few and were all good. I have to refrain from getting one too often, which is unlike me.
Love this lil bakery!

Got two chocolate mousse’s so I could share with my husband. They were $3 each for tiny cups. The mousse was good, but I felt like it was a little overpriced. Still, a cute little place with a great view. I also liked how they drizzled white chocolate on top of the mousse to look like their logo.

Tried a napoleon. How disappointing. Such a small pastry filled with a nearly flavorless and odd-textured cream. Also tried the mousse. A greasy mouthfeel and very light on flavor. The bakery interior and display are as unimpressive as the pastries. So sad; I was hoping for so much more.

Stopped in with my mother on Christmas Eve. The storefront was busy just before lunch time. Ordered a cherry tart and an apricot and cheese pastry. The tart was delicious. The shell seemed a bit thick at first bite but the flavors went together well. I can’t say the same for the apricot pastry. The bite I had seemed no better than that which you can get at any grocery chain, and that’s sad when you pay $3.50 for one pastry. The flavor was just lacking. I may return for another tart though 🙂

They have both savory and sweet baked goods along with fresh loaves of bread. I am grateful to have this establishment in the east mountains.

The breads are out of this world. The savories
are wonderful. And the desserts…be sure to try the chocolate mousse, napolean & amazing strudels! So happy to have the Cedar Crest store nearby.

HORRIBLE. In house sandwiches and pastries are overpriced, old, and in some cases not even french. Paid $3 for a mini croissant that was under-cooked and absolute crap. Tuna sandwich had no tuna, and bread was the quality of “french” bread from grocery stores. As a french-american, I can assure you this is overpriced, tiny, and horrible quality. I have no idea how it stays in business. I never ordered a specialty cake so I can’t attest to that, but if you go by the quality of the bakery normally, I wouldn’t waste your money. Also the store itself is incredibly tacky.

Very disappointed, been going there for years for bread, usually very good. Showed up this morning and bought 6 rolls and a parisian. When I got home and had one of the rolls I found out that it wasn’t fresh, tried another one same result. I don’t know how old the rolls were but they were frozen and then put on sale as fresh. When I go to a bakery I expect fresh (as in baked that morning) items. At least the parisian was fresh.
There is another French bakery on 4th Street, and I’ve never had problems with old bread there.
