I love finding local, hidden gems when traveling (staying at Lake Livingston SP) and Stella’s has exceeded every single expectation. I went in hoping for coffee and maybe a good pastry, but finding a French patisserie in East Texas was not on my bingo card. Everything I purchased was absolutely incredible and the staff is so kind and helpful. If we lived nearby, I would be here every single day. Stella’s has moved the state park to the top of my recurring visit list, so so that we can come back to try more. The quiche Lorraine is legitimately the best I have ever had and the chai tea latte is in my top 2 of all time. So good!! I can’t wait to go back!!

A French bakery in Livingston? Yes! They use imported French flour and have a French pastry chef on staff. Great place for brunch. I always try to stop while traveling through. The pastries are beautiful and delicious. Picked up some to share with family.

Driving along US190 we saw Stella’s in all her glory. We stopped for a quick snack. The front is clean with plenty of parking. Inside was clean and inviting. Open seating and bright colors draws you to want to sit down and just enjoy the room. The display cases highlight the goodies they offer. Plenty of pastries to satisfy most desires. Teas and coffees available in different sizes and flavors. They also have sandwiches and salads to enjoy. We sat on the covered patio because we finally had a great wether day. The pastries were brought to us at the table and they even warmed them up for us. Stella’s is such an unexpected delight and we took pastries to go but will be back for other goodies.

Happen upon this little gem with visiting Livingston. Adorable Bakery and Deli. Order the special of day Club Sandwich and a cup of tomato soup. Let’s say I definitely had takeaway box because it was plentiful and delicious. Saved room for dessert, ordered a pistachio pastry and cinnamon latte. My goodness the pastries are decadent, flaky, airy, and oh so yummy. The latte was by far the best I ever had! Quality food and exceptional service.

Stella’s never disappoints us. The staff is professionally trained in France and they use the best ingredients in their pastries. There was a lot of thought put into the building as well. It’s light and airy with beautiful black and white floors. This is absolutely a gem in Livingston. Bon appétit!

If you’re looking for a true taste of France in Livingston, Stella’s is it. The pastries are absolutely gorgeous—artisanal, delicate, and made with a level of craftsmanship you rarely find outside of Europe.
They don’t offer gluten-free options, but they do use flour imported directly from France, which is very different from U.S. flour. According to the staff, no one has ever had an issue with gluten intolerance here, which makes their approach unique and worth noting.
The coffee is just as impressive. I always judge a coffee shop by its Americano, and Stella’s passes the test—smooth, bold, and simple, the way it should be.
Overall, a beautiful little French bakery with pastries that are almost too pretty to eat (almost ) and coffee that makes you want to linger a little longer. A gem for Livingston!

Stella’s Bakery turned out to be an unexpected gem during our RV trip toward Louisiana—an easy 10 out of 10, maybe even 15. Located in a small town but delivering the quality you’d expect in a major city, this bakery impresses with excellent coffee, charming interior design, and friendly, professional service. Everything feels well thought out and executed with care.
The pastries are delicious, and the space has a polished, welcoming atmosphere. Stella’s can absolutely compete with top-tier coffee shops from much larger cities. That said, a couple of things stood out: the croissant we ordered was reheated, which made us wonder whether it was fresh that day or if reheating is their regular practice. Also, the service was quite slow—we waited around 10 minutes despite it not being particularly busy.
Still, overall this is a must-visit spot if you’re in the area. Just be prepared for a bit of a wait and don’t expect the pastry to be straight from the oven.

This is a must visit just be careful you will want one of everything! The sandwiches are divine just bursting with flavor. The potato soup is beyond delicious! How exciting can a salad be? Ummm order one here and you will be blown away with fresh yummy flavor crisp made with nothing less than top notch ingredients and homemade dressing and croutons. But above all their French pastries made by real French pastry chefs are worth every cent and every calorie! The atmosphere was brilliant, bright, unique, and classy.
