It was my first time and it couldn’t have gone any better, I got the burger and it was incredible, yummy toasted bun, perfectly cooked and seasoned meat. Their fries were out of this world and the side salad for $2 extra is basically a meal on its own!
Besides the food, the real star of the show was Natalie our waitress, she was very knowledgeable on the food and an absolute riot. I don’t think I’ve ever had such a funny, bubbly, and down right the sweetest server, ever.
We went on a Wednesday night and as we were leaving they had trivia going, definitely check them out!

What a great spot!!! We took a drive to the Stubborn Mule to check out the pizza. We’re from NJ and NY and feel like we know a thing or two about pizza.
The Mule knows a thing or three itself!!! This is good pizza, like really good pizza!! It’s not NY style, crust is a bit thicker and softer, it’s super tasty, and holds up to a perfect amount of cheese and our fair share of pepperoni!!
Service was fantastic, attentive without being annoying!!! Friendly, knowledgeable, courteous and prompt!!
Atmosphere is great for a brewery with pizza, heated porch was comfortable and offered plenty of space.
Pizza was so good we brought one home for dinner.
On the way out we smelled the burgers that they offer, we will be back!!!

I’m glad I live in the area! Have been here many times! Had the special ribeye which was cooked perfectly !!! Great upbeat vibe and fun atmosphere. Enjoyed a Ginger Beer and our server, Natalie C, was terrific Great outdoor seating area. I take my out of town guests to the Stubborn Mule Restaurant and everyone loves it! I recommend you visit to enjoy great food, wonderful atmosphere and I really enjoyed our server Natalie C tonight!

We came to Stubborn Mule on a whim, so glad we did. Our server Erica was top notch and so knowledgeable about the menu. I couldn’t decide between two dishes and went with her recommendation and let me tell you; the plot house salad with grilled chicken (small portion) was the best! Husband had the yard bird sandwich and said it was fantastic. Get the pretzel for appetizer, it’s literally the best pretzel ever and the beer cheese; I could put on everything! We’ll definitely be back!

Excellent restaurant and brewery!! The Mules are to die for with in house ginger beer. Excellent pizzas, sandwiches, fries and desserts.Hanks Steak was on the menu tonight and it was delicious with amazing carrots and mashed potatoes. Natalie C was our server and she is delightful. Stubborn Mule Brewery is a real star in Landrum! The vibe is relaxed and welcoming, with plenty of character that makes it a great spot to hang out. The beer selection is excellent and well-crafted — I especially loved their Oktoberfest, which was smooth, flavorful, and one of the best I’ve had anywhere. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and recommend beers. Between the great brews, cool atmosphere, and top-notch service, this place checks every box. Definitely one of my favorite breweries in the area and a must-visit if you’re nearby!

Natalie C. was SO much fun. We really enjoyed ourselves and she took good care of us. The drinks were sooo good. I ordered the house plot salad (which I love and order every time) and the Large Marge pizza, which had a bit less on it than expected, based on past experiences here. The atmosphere was great- if anything it was a little toasty for March in the building! Will be back.

Well this was a treat! We’ve been waiting to go, and wish we had tried it sooner. This is a beautiful, grand operation. I know it was difficult to get off the ground, but it seemed to be running nice and smooth. Well designed, clean, open. Staff was great! Food and drinks were top notch as well. We had to get going after dinner, otherwise I would have defended my cornhole champ title against my wife! Dog friendly picnic / dining area is brilliant and on point with this community. Bravo!

This was our first visit the Stubborn Mule and we will be back! We didn’t know what to expect but have been hearing great things from our friends around Forest City so we decided to give it a try . I had the pretty fly for a white pie ( recommended by our server Erica ) and it was fabulous! My husband had a smash burger with fries and said it was great as well , I never got a chance to take a bite since he woofed it down. The place was packed with lots of family’s sitting at the outside picnic tables and beer garden area . We waited a few minutes for a table but figured we would have to after hearings all the positive reviews. Thank you Erica for the great service as well as the beer and food suggestions we will be back with friends.

We have been going once a week or more since “The Mule” as our family calls it opened and we couldn’t be happier to have them in our little town!
