The service is amazing and the vibes in this restaurant are so elegant and luxurious. The restaurant’s art deco decor is stunning. Their drinks are amazingly well crafted. The dishes are a hit or miss. While some are amazing there are others that miss the mark. It’s a great place to have a special occasion dinner or a bougie lunch and the views of the city are spectacular.

A popular restaurant in downtown Montreal, a reservation is highly recommended.

The staff are welcoming and helpful. Food was tasty especially fish and chips. They came in a huge plate.

The restaurant is quite big. There are several zones for many tables. However, they were almost full when we arrived.

My wife and I booked for a saturday night dinner and were blown away by the old-world service and art deo decor. We started at the bar to enjoy a cocktail. The barman was exceptional. Based on what my wife was craving, he made a drink to match and it was amazing. When ready for our table, the barman brought our drink on a platter to our seats and handed us over to our server, who was equally amazing. We started with oysters nd bread which were deelicious then we had teh steak frites. The steak was cooked to perfection and everything was delicious, including desert. In thi sday and age finding a restaurant that provides value is difficult. Le 9e delivered!

The ambiance was amazing, it felt like traveling back in time while dining on a cruise ship. The waitstaff made every effort to respect table etiquette and whenever a minor flaw occurred, it was promptly and gracefully corrected. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal.

Consistently well executed dishes. Excellent bread, lobster pasta and desserts, with the lobster pasta being the clear highlight of the evening.
The scallop dish was pleasant but less distinctive compared to the rest of the menu.
Professional service and an elegant atmosphere. A strong overall experience, with several dishes worth returning for.

Stepping into Île de France feels like embarking on a journey through time. Inspired by the legendary ocean liner Île de France; the very ship Madame Eaton herself once favored; this newly opened Art Deco gem brings a touch of old-world glamour back to Montréal.

From the moment you take the elevator, you’re transported to another era — an age of elegance, refinement, and effortless charm. The décor captures the essence of the early 1900s, with exquisite details that tell a story: the dessert chart reminiscent of grand hotel dining, adding a delightful touch of authenticity.

The menu is both fine and thoughtful, celebrating French tradition with a contemporary twist. The wine list is equally impressive, curated with care. And the service is simply impeccable, warm, attentive, and perfectly in tune with the restaurant’s elegant spirit.

And just when you think the voyage is over, there’s more to discover: French Line, the elegant speakeasy bar tucked away inside, promises another chapter of enchantment. I can’t wait to return and experience it next time!

A stunning tribute to history, craftsmanship, and the enduring spirit of Montréal: Île de France makes the city feel alive again! An absolute must-visit!

The brunch buffet at Le 9e Montréal was truly spectacular today. We believe it is undoubtedly the finest brunch buffet in Montreal. Every aspect of the meal was outstanding, remarkably fresh, and incredibly flavorful. The live singer and piano player showcasing Christmas music helped to make the brunch a perfect experience. My wife, Rhonda Hutchinsen-Purdy , and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience and wholeheartedly recommend visiting Le 9e Il de France, located atop the Eatons Center, whether you go alone or with companions
