I don’t write bad reviews, check every other review I’ve written. The first thing that’s wrong is that there are two little kids behind the counter near the food and the grill, on their iPads coughing everywhere and SCREAMING and crying while I’m trying to order. I looked past the three different health code violations and the screaming kids and I still ordered a cheeseburger combo that came with fries and a drink, and a side of medium fries for the person I went with. That alone was $24. So now I’m expecting some decent food. The food was awful. Terrible. I could’ve gotten better bread for a burger (see pictures) from the dollar store. The burger itself was tasteless and was undercooked. It looked disgusting. McDonald’s has better burgers than this for $3.59. The most irritating part of it all was that it took them 25 minutes to give me a burger, some fries, and a drink. Took all that time to hand me something that looked and tasted like garbage. Terrible place, don’t come here.

this place is actually amazing. one can only go so long eating shitty boardwalk food before they actually really need a real meal. and caribbean flavor did more than provide that! the sweet lady who took our order was just so nice and lovely. we are in and she took care to point the fan towards us and serve us delicious food. the rice and stew chicken was actually so yummy i was at a loss for words. the portion was sizable and the meat fell right off the bone! 100/10 will be back every time we’re in wildwood 🙂

Brought my parents here for dinner after a day at the beach. The restaurant was beautifully decorated, ample seating. They make your food fresh so be prepared to wait a little but it will be worth it because the food was DELICIOUS! My dad and I had the Chuletas and white rice and my mom had the pollo guisado, YUM! The staff were so kind and made our food just how we wanted it. Stop by, I totally recommend this place!

I usually never leave reviews but I had to make an exception to highlight this very special restaurant. I went with my mother and father after a long day of cleaning, and we found this spot on a whim. It was small spot, but the atmosphere was very warm, welcoming and very family oriented. At first, we were a little disappointed that there wasn’t a lot of items available on the menu but after learning that the chef was an elder we completely understood, and knew without a doubt no matter what was being cooked, with an elder mama in the kitchen the food was going to be fire – and they did not disappoint! We wound up getting the pollo guisado special because it was Sunday, some acapulias and the pernil frita. When I tell you everything was amazing?! Everything, was truly amazing. The rice, the chicken and especially the acapulias. You can taste how fresh and quality all the ingredients were, and we all left feeling extremely nourished (which to me is rare to find on the boardwalk). My father even told me that the the atmosphere took him back to his childhood and the food reminded him of his grandmother’s cooking in Viequez. This restaurant is truly good for the soul, and the taste is the definition of Latin soul food. Everyone should go, and I hope that sweet abuelita in the kitchen passes on those recipes to the babies. 10/10

The food here was absolutely incredible—truly one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. From the very first bite, I could tell everything was made with care and authenticity. It didn’t taste processed, instead, it had that real, home-cooked quality that’s so rare to find these days. I have to give a special shout-out to the empanadas—they were perfectly crisp on the outside, bursting with flavor on the inside, and clearly made fresh. You can tell the kitchen takes pride in what they do. And the prices? Surprisingly affordable, especially considering the quality and portion sizes. You really feel like you’re getting a great value for your money. All in all, I can’t recommend this place enough. I’ll definitely be coming back—and probably bringing a few friends with me next time!

I came here a couple weeks ago on a whim after enjoying my day at the beach. I was craving empanadas and saw this place sold it. I ended up purchasing two more after falling in love with the first two. You can really tell that this place makes their food with love! Best empanadas I’ve ever had coming from a Latina

We just finished our late night take out from here and we loved every bite. We tried the chicken stew with rice and it was so flavorful. The chicken was very tender and seasoned very well.
We also tried the beef potato ball which had a thin crispy delicious outside and it was soft inside with the right amount of beef. The chef gave me chicken sauce to put on it after I cut it open which was a great optional way to eat it too. Potato was fully cooked inside, soft but stayed together. Not firm like some I’ve had at other establishments.
We also tried the chicken empanada. Both those and the potato ball was cooked to order. Everything was hot and fresh tasting even after our walk back to the room at the other end of the boardwalk.
The chef/gentleman at the counter was enthusiastic about his food and very kind to make our stuff so close to closing time. He even gave us a bonus of the crunchy rice at the bottom of the pot with some garlic sauce.
Reasonably priced, especially for the boardwalk, generous portions. Both my fiance and I can’t wait to try more, maybe tomorrow.

My daughter wanted to sample one fried Oreos so he let us just have one instead of buying a big set

I ordered a 3 piece beef taco, four burgers with cheese, mozzarella sticks, and a large bucket of fries. It was a total of $85. The 3 piece beef taco was raw, uncooked, and spit worthy. The burgers were moldy. The fries were not seasoned. Hand touched food. Poor service, horrible food.
