Nice but not quite as good as I was hoping. Quickly in and sorted with a table. Pint of Cobrs? 25 mins wait as sorting it out! Really? Get things done before you open. Bottle of kingfisher then.
Decent poppadoms and Pickles but the Pickle pots are small.
Chicken Dopiaza, nice but needs a bit more heat, should be alongside a Dhansak heat wise and this wasn’t. Had a plain naan to go with it instead of rice. All in at £25, average price but although the food was tasty it just lacked a bit.
Great location though, tucked down the alley off the main square.

We went here on a Wednesday evening. We were the first there but the dining room eventually had more people.

The servers were very friendly and quick!

I ordered a lamb samosa and the chicken tikka masala. I will admit, I wasn’t expecting the masala to be so bright red! The food was all very good with generous portions. I only wish the masala was a little more savory than sweet.

Overall a really nice dining experience!

An Amazing evening, 7 guests, 7 top quality different dishes served by the most professional and courteous staff. Very good value for money too! Staff went out of their way to recommend and reassure a vegan and a vegetarian guest. This is a quality hidden gem, tucked away in the corner of the market place. No photographs taken, we were too delighted to be diverted from the lovely food. I can highly recommend The Spice Lounge.

Please don’t order anything from this resturent. I had to get naan bread from here and i had the worst dinner of my life. Every naan and i mean every single naan was literally black as hell. Worst ever experience from this place. Never recommend this place

The worst Indian food restaurant in the UK without a doubt. Our chicken tikka masala was tasteless, sweet and had a tone of artificial colouring. It was bright red! The other dish we ordered was also tasteless and an unnatural bright orange (photo attached). The paladins were good, but again the chutney was super artificial (bright red), sugary and worse than what you buy at the supermarket. Save yourself money and health issues and don’t go there.

The staff, especially the guy shakeeb, was being racist and was trying to push customers to say “Eid Eid”, irrespective of the customers’ religious belief, which was totally unnecessary. They should focus more on good food than such propogandas. Also, it is important to note, that neither this is Indian restaurant nor they serve indian style dishes.
