Came for the soft opening and wow this little town’s new spot is a total GEM ! If this is the soft opening we can’t wait for grand opening! Everything was amazing and every dish left you wanting more. Owner’s mom came by to check on us and her pride in her daughter was so sweet and real. Everything hit impeccably and she made sure of it. We went off our usual dish choices, and went with our waitress’s recommendations and so glad we did. Everything we had tasted was phenomenal and having her radiant energy and caring attitude made the night even better. You could tell she was happy to be there and wanted you to have an experience that left you happy. All the Food was delicious and had such authentic homemade flavors that left us wanting more after every bite. Drinks looked gorgeous.. great presentation . We were tight on time to catch a movie but service was spot on and we didn’t even need to say anything. Food Arrived fast without sacrificing any flavor–loved it! Best thing was when they dimmed the lights for that sexy Friday date night vibe it nailed it As recently relocated empty nesters (on intermittent fasting) we only eat 1 meal a day and we go out daily for that meal so we appreciate that privilege and finding a genuinely good spot like this where nothing’s meh or staff is miserable… is extremely appreciated. Congrats to the team for all their hard-working dedication It truly showed, and everything was perfect! We’re back soon and can’t wait to bring friends. Go try it you’ll love it

We are so excited to have our own local Osteria Mia! I love the convenient location in Surprise. We made reservations online and were seated right when we walked through the door. Our server was such a nice person. We never lacks for anything. I ordered a dish that ended up being too spicy for me and she took it back to the kitchen without any hesitation and brought me a specially prepared pasta dish. I was so impressed. I am looking forward to returning soon with the rest of our large family! Thank you for a wonderful night!

We really wanted to enjoy this restaurant, but unfortunately the food was very disappointing. The meatballs tasted as if they had been boiled and had an odd texture, the sauce lacked flavor, and the pizza was so soggy that the cheese slid right off each slice. We couldn’t even finish a quarter of the meal because it just didn’t taste good. During lunch service, it also seems that pasta isn’t available — our server said she had to get permission from the chef. After we left, we ended up going to In-N-Out instead.

Osteria Mia in Surprise is a gem. Everything we ordered was excellent, and it’s the kind of place where you can tell the kitchen really cares about your food.
We started with a bottle of Nebbiolo wine. Definitely recommend!! We also had a side ceasar and the Focaccia bread. The Pasta Norcina was flavorful in the best way, bold with the fennel sausage but balanced, not overpowering. The portions are definitely plentiful. I was in the moment and didn’t get a photo of the main food. Oops!!!
We ended our meal with the amazing S’mores Crème Brûlée. I’m not sure what Italian magic Mario has but OMG! It is TO.DIE.FOR!!!! 1 kabillion times will recommend THAT!!!!

Wonderful food. We had the Bruschetta boards to start. The three different bruschetta were very fresh and had a good mix of flavors- three different types to a board. For entrees, we had the Lupara and the Frutti de Mar. The Lupara had very nice medium heat, and the pasta was prepared perfectly. I would order this again. The Frutti de Mar was excellently prepared; the shellfish was very good, with a nice broth. There were no broken or unopened shells. We took leftovers home, but were too full for dessert. I definitely need to try the gelato next time… We will return!

Amazing quality ingredients fresh flavour . Even the tomato’s had amazing flavour. And they have in house made pasta . Highly recommend. Great prices for what you get . In Canada these dishes would go for around $35

Very excited to continue coming here and trying everything on the menu. We went yesterday for Valentines Day lunch and it was incredible. The homemade pasta was cooked to perfection and the brussel sprouts were so good. Service is definitely needing a little bit of work but they’re still pretty new and probably working out kinks and being overwhelmed with being so popular already. My wife never got her sweetener for her ice tea and our waitress seemed very stressed with maybe a few too many tables. But I’m sure in time those things will work themselves out. We loved it so much we came back again today and got some more to go for a late lunch.
So happy to see a place like this doing well. It’s a breath of fresh air compared to the usual chain restaurant experience we are so accustomed to out here in Surprise.

Went in with high hopes & left absolutely blown away by not only the service & atmosphere, but the food was nothing short of phenomenal. My lady & I spent our 9 year anniversary there & we couldn’t have chosen a better spot. We got the 3 piece bruschetta combo for an appetizer l. She got the spinach ravioli & I got the artichoke pizza. All dishes leaving the both of us floored. Our wonderful server Jenelle took care of us like we were the only guests in the building. True VIP treatment. The manager Steven was also seen hustling & bussling, talking with every table, helping clean tables & even running food to help out the service staff. Do yourself a favor & give this new spot a try!

We went for lunch, hoping to have pasta. We were given a wine list and a lunch menu that did not have pasta on it, only apps, pizza and sandwiches. Our waitress didn’t notice. We ordered a bottle of wine and thought, okay this is what they serve for lunch. After we finished our meal, we noticed other diners were receiving pasta. I mentioned to our waitress that we never received a pasta menu, she said, oh you didn’t. I would have expected her to notice. Also spoke to the manager, who said do you want pasta now. I said no, as we had already had an appetizer and pizza. She didn’t even know that the pasta menu is separate from the lunch menu.Her response was okay, have a good day. It came across as she didn’t really care. I’m quite disappointed as we have been to the other Osteria Mia and had a great meal. I’m hoping this was an off day, since we had been looking forward to Osteria Mia in Surprise to open. Regardless, today was a big disappointment. I think it will be a while before we try again.
