For me this is just an ordinary tea place, nothing really special or standout. Don’t get me wrong but it’s just okey, especially you’re in OC where most of these tea shops are above or has their own special signature drinks. The shop is nice clean and has outdoor seating which is great, especially in the spring-summer-fall. The parking is plenty since the complex is big so plenty of parking spaces. You order through kiosk, adjust your drinks to your liking and it comes about fast. If you ordered fruity drinks then the fruits are refreshing and sweet. The inside decor is abit boring, just one big blossom tree and few posters. Staff are nice and friendly. You really don’t interact with them much except then they give you the drinks.

Good boba place. This shop specializes in boba tea and the taste is exactly the kind I miss back in Asia. So far we have came back over n over again for the Burnt Caramel Cheese Milk Tea. The Mango Pomelo and Osmanthus Rice Milk were also good at 50% sweet. It can also be preordered online. We recommend if you like that Asian milk tea taste.

Maybe this place is a franchise, but it felt completely different from the location I usually go to in Irvine. There was only one male staff working, and even though I came in last minute, it was still within their open hours. He basically rushed to hand me the drink just so he could turn off the lights and leave—it felt like I was bothering him for being there.
As for the quality, it was exactly what you’d expect when the staff doesn’t care—definitely not a good cup of milk tea. Never coming back.

I recently visited Bengong’s Tea in Garden Grove, and while there were some good aspects, there are definitely areas that could use improvement.
The store has about 18 seats inside and 6 seats outside, making it a small, cozy spot. Despite the store not being crowded, we had to wait over 10 minutes for our drinks.
As for the drinks, they were decent and reasonably priced. However, my cousin was disappointed with his Peach Oolong Milk Tea. He had expected it to look like the photo on the menu, complete with a cream topping, but it was missing. The cashier didn’t ask if he wanted the cream, so that was a bit of a letdown.
Overall, while the drinks are affordable, Bengong’s Tea could improve on service, particularly when it comes to order accuracy and wait times. With a bit more attention to detail, it could provide a much better customer experience.

The brown sugar bubble milk tea is really delicious, but the boba are too soft. If they were chewier, it would be perfect. I hope next time the boba will have a better texture.

Don’t rec this location. I ordered a simple hot black milk at the counter and the kid had poor attitude. He obviously did not want to be there. The kid who made my drink was struggling with the machines and ended up microwaving the drink.. We ended up waiting 10 mins for our drink despite being the only person in line. Finally, when the drink came out it tasted very powdery, no tea flavor, overall, not premium at all.

Every time I come here, the drinks are consistently good! The tea flavor is strong, the sweetness level is just right, and the toppings are always fresh. I’ve tried a few different items and they never disappoint. Fast service, clean shop, and super friendly staff. Highly recommend!

The quality here is good. I’ve come to this location like five times, and I’ve been to Ben Gong at other spots too — probably over 10 times total. This location has never messed up my drink, so they’re doing pretty well. But every time I come here, I wonder if I’ll ever see them smile. They always seem focused on just making the drinks, not really on connecting with customers. Not a deal-breaker for me. Will I keep coming back? Yes. But it’s definitely missing that five-star experience.

Love this place! The drinks not only taste great but also look super Instagram-worthy. I ordered a fruit tea and it was super refreshing, not too sweet and full of real fruit bits. Service was quick and the vibe was super chill. Will be back for sure.
