Decent Sichuan food – we ordered the crispy fish, string beans, spicy beef and duck breast. Of these, I think the fish and beef were probably the stronger dishes – the flavor for the beef was there and the fish has a nice texture. However, I did think the duck breast wasn’t very flavorful and felt similarly about the string beans. Overall, it was an okay meal, but would not go out of my way for this again.

Had a team party with deliveries from Sichuan Garden. According to the native from the region, the food is pretty authentic. Some dishes can be super spicy. I particularly liked the eggplant and wen jun fish. Those with “dry” meat were meant to be dry, sort of like jerky but with coating outside. Dishes with cayenne chilli WERE hot (at least for me). What impressed me, though, was how the food was not salty. I’m sensitive to salt levels and the food was just right. The rice seemed to be jasmine, it wad well-cooked and had a very pleasant aroma. Had a very good lunch and experience overall, albeit via delivery. Would recommend and will probably order again.

We visited Blossom Bar at Sichuan Garden while in town from out of state. On a Thursday evening, my daughter and I were seated outside and decided to make it an adventure — we told our waitress, “You know the menu, curate a dinner that shows off your best dishes.” She brought us a drink and took our order, which ended up being some sort of dumplings, Dan Dan noodles, hot chicken, fried rice, a beef dish, and a variation on an old fashioned.

Here’s where things took a turn: shortly after taking our order, our waitress… left the restaurant. Literally. The food runner brought out the dishes but didn’t explain what anything was, so we weren’t totally sure what we were eating. No one ever came by to check on us, refill our water (which you really need with spicy food), or ask if we wanted another drink. By the time someone finally asked if we wanted another round, we were already done eating. When we asked where our waitress was, we were told she had gone home early.

The food itself was solid — tasty enough, but nothing that really wowed us, especially for the price. Honestly, the drinks seemed to be the strongest part of the experience, but I only got to try one before we were left on our own.

Not the worst night out, but definitely not the service or standout flavors we were hoping for.

I feel obligated to post a review now that Blossom has changed over their staff and completely obliterated their previous (stellar!!) cocktail program. We have been longtime Blossom fans for years, was previously our favorite cocktail spot in the city, our go to for any celebration or as a spot to take guests from out of town.

Earlier this fall they turned over their entire bar staff which included some of the best mixologists in the city, and they got rid of their old cocktail menu and launched a new limited cocktail menu which is much smaller and far less interesting than their prior menu. We went and tried to order off the menu “bartenders choice” and were met with completely blank stares. They previously employed such talented mixologists who could make you any custom cocktail but when I asked for a gin cocktail I was told all they could do was a gin and tonic. This coming from what was previously one of the top 10 ranked best cocktail bars on the east coast where the mixologists used to come up with amazingly interesting cocktails on the fly.

Please bring back the old cocktail menu. The Tito Puente, Malatang, Queens Court, Broken Spanish were perfection, best cocktails in the city. The new cocktail menu is mediocre and people should just go to Baldwin bar for the same food and infinitely better drinks.

The food is still superb. We will continue to order takeout as the food is outstanding. But for a night out with cocktails, we will go elsewhere.

There’s no doubt that the drinks here are their signatures. They were exceptional! The food I thought was not as great especially for its price. The fish fillet priced at $28 was extremely dry and bland. No taste at all. The sichuan chicken has some tingling spicy & garlicky taste, did not enjoy it as expected. The atmosphere is great, I think people come here to enjoy drinks and the vibe. The host was all over the place. Inspite of making reservations there were no tables. If you are party of two you’re gonna be seated behind the partition which is the worst spot to enjoy the evening. Please make sure you get to choose your table where the ambiance is enjoyable.

Amazing food. Visited on a holiday for lunch and it wasn’t crowded at all. Every dish we ordered was cooked perfectly. Warning… the spicy dishes are spicy. It’s a good flavorful spice and not just spicy to be spicy. Service was excellent and very quick. Our appetizers were available almost immediately and then entrees came out just as we finished with apps.

Higher prices but good quality: both tofu mushrooms crepe and pea pod stems were kind of oily but it’s expected in a Chinese restaurant. We also got the vegetarian summer rolls, also fried and oily.

I had a great time as Blossom Bar celebrating a birthday. The drinks were delicious and the food was great. I wish some of the dishes came with rice or a starch of some kind because you could still be a little hungry after if your dish was pure protein. Overall the quality and taste of it was excellent. One thing I would change next time I go is ordering dishes with the intention of sharing so everyone at the table could try something different.

The drinks are the best part. The food is good too, but, I feel like they act to make the drinks shine. My friends and I got a variety, but each one was quite good. Would recommend this place for a birthday dinner, anniversary, or any special occasion as it is a bit dark inside and more romantic than for family

Come for the city-famous cocktails, stay for the amazing food that’s gonna surprise you!
First heard of it when my partner got invited here by his Sichuan friend to try “real sichuan” food. Finally got to go with a bunch of friends and we loved it!
Amazing Dan-Dan noodles, super tasty popcorn chicken, and fantastic creamy eggplant, but the fish with pickled mustard leaves was the standout – never have I tried a dish with that flavor and it blew our entire crew away.
The cocktails are also super worthy of trying – and include some surprising flavors like sesame oil. I recommend to be adventurous when ordering – you shouldn’t be surprised!
Only two gripes I have – it’s super loud inside and simple decor lacks a bit of atmosphere. It’s elegant, but very simple. And our host was not the greatest as she seemed really busy. Otherwise – one of fave spots in Boston area!
