The pizza is soooo good. This is our 2nd time getting it. Get the square- with the Roni or Meatballs. We do half and half. It’s legitimately some of the best tasting pizza in Raleigh. Why only 4 stars then? Sadly, I watched them make a few pizzas. What do we all know about phones and the cleanliness of them? They’re disgusting. Anyone who has ever worked in F&B knows phones should never be where you’re preparing food. But that’s where one guys phone sat until he put it back in his pocket, then went right back to adding pepperoni to the pizza. The other guy took his phone out, scrolled, scrolled, put it away.. went back to touching pizza dough. Woof. Luckily, pizzas go in the over so I’m not super worried about that bacteria but it did make me wonder about the rest of their sanitation procedures.

We’re from NY and I consider myself a pizza snob as I’ve been eating good pizza at least 1x a week for the last 30 years! I was upset to loose good pizza when we decided to relocate to Raleigh, but Capital & Oakwood (partner location) do not disappoint and they are 9/10 as good as NY pizza. Sauce is amazing, crust and dough are great, proportions of ingredients is perfect, fresh basil is a nice touch, only gripe is sometimes the crust is a little doughy/chewy and not crispy how I like it. Great employees and atmosphere, wish there was seating and it wasn’t take out only – but when we want to sit we just go to Oakwood (partner shop) thanks guy!

This pizza is fantastic – hands down the BEST gluten free crust in Raleigh! This is our go to take out pizza place, just know it’s take out only, no dine in seating.
One more important thing to note, we had an issue with our order this weekend (it was super busy and an honest mistake). We didn’t realize until we got home and called the store back to let them know. They were so kind on the phone and offered multiple solutions. This made us want to return even more than we already did. Highly recommend.

Love my pizza which means I love Capital Pizza Box! This off shoot of the OG Oakwood Pizza Box offers up the same great red and white pies but in a takeout only format. But for NY pizza in the Triangle, this is about as good as it gets! Great crust, clean tomato sauce, high quality cheese in the right ratios makes for a great bite. While the parking is still a bit tight here, it’s much easier than Person Street, enjoy!

Let me start off by saying we love Oakwood Pizza Box. When we moved here just over a year ago we were so happy to find really good pizza. We ordered on Aug 8, 2 days after they started deliveries from Capital Pizza Box and it was fantastic. We have ordered 3 times since then and it had just not been as good. We never had this issues from the original location and are just really disappointed with the inconsistencies with the pies. We will keep trying since nothing compares, but for the price we wish it would taste just like the original on a consistent basis.
