Went for an early AM Saturday donut run. Was greeted by a very friendly lady who took good care of me and the gentleman that followed. Donuts were great. I’m a fritter snob and grabbed an apple fritter which was wonderful. Also grabbed a couple maple bacon and glazed . All were fantastic. We will be back!!

I have been checking out local donuts shops and this is by far one of the best in the Newport News area for dounuts. I tried their glazed and I was amazed. Soft, fluffy, not disgustingly sweet, but pleasant. Recommend to warm for 5 -8 sec and dip in black coffee. The 5 am opening and cost are worth your drive. Enjoy!!! . Take your Family, Friends and kids.

I’ve been here several times to pick up a donut or 2 and decided to place a custom order for my daughter’s birthday. I sent a photo of generally how I wanted the donuts to look and they nailed it! Not only were the unicorn donuts super cute but they tasted delicious and everyone at the party loved them. Happy to have such a gem of a donut shop in town!

I tried 2 new spots this week!
I have a problem and it’s sweets this week.
Coworkers told me to try this place, and I was up surprisingly early, so I decided to go. And I was so happy that I got there so early! (6am ish). No one else was inside, and I was able to take pictures and all. I saw someone else post the key lime donut and my heart was set on that, so that’s what I got. And I got one apple, and one blueberry ugly. Uglies. I thought they stood out to me the most, so the name definitely made me buy them. All were amazing! I am not a filled donut fan, and the donuts are huge, so I couldn’t finish an entire donut man the key lime one was so good, but so so sweet! Which I expected. But I didn’t know how big the donuts were, so a dozen would last a long while in a house I think. I highly recommend to anyone in the area! We plan on using them to cater for a work event, so I definitely plan on coming back!

After hearing from so many people that this place was “it,” I finally had a chance to check it out. I honestly thought it was a donut shop, so when we pulled up and the sign said “Fresh Pizza,” I was confused. Then I spotted the name “Dough Haus” on the window. I’m a little thick in the brain sometimes, so it didn’t click until we walked in and I realized—there’s a pizza side and a donut side. That’s when it hit me: “OHhh, DOUGH Haus… because pizza and donuts are made from dough!”
I promise I can’t make this stuff up.
I ordered the white pizza and it was flavorful, and satisfying
I also grabbed a dozen donuts, everything from cheesecake to apple-filled. My favorite was the maple frosted, but overall I was left a little underwhelmed by the others. That’s just personal preference—I’m a light-and-airy donut lady, and these are definitely the thick, hearty kind. If that’s your style, you’ll be in heaven.
The atmosphere was festive and welcoming, and I loved the local artist’s work tagging the front window and wall…great color choices and vibe. They even have a food truck, so it seems like they show up at local events too.
Overall, I’d highly recommend the pizza and say that if you’re a fan of thick doughnuts, this spot is absolutely “it.” The whole place even gave me a nostalgic Cali donut shop feel with those classic pink boxes- this spot doesn’t do the classic pink boxes but it was nostalgic. Solid 4 stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Enjoy! And support local small businesses!!!

What a horrible experience! We spent $130 in 5 large pizzas it took almost an hour with a rude young boy. The order was also wrong. We order ham and pineapple, but he put pepperoni and pineapple. The pizzas were also burnt on the bottom. The large size is also more of a medium. Not going there anymore!

Great donut/pizza shop up in Denbigh area of Newport News, Va. Small with big character. Don’t blink cause you’ll miss it. Once inside, you are greeted with a warm hello and aroma of fried dough, whisps of coffee, and an assortment of sugary treats. On this trip, we opted for a half dozen donuts with the Banana Creme and Blueberry Ugly standing out among the rest. Various coffee drinks are available for the Java Junkies. I recommend the Iced Latte with a shot of flavor. Quick, friendly service, and a rewards program to take advantage of for repeat customers. Cute T’s and merch are available, too. Will update after we try the pizza.

Cozy little shop that is a wonderful local secret. Donuts are FRESH and HUGE for the price you pay – seriously, I get two to three servings out of one donut. Pizza is also great! Love the rotating baker’s choice donut, it’s a fun bonus for coming in person!

I experienced a mixup with the staff on site and was supposed to pick up a dozen donuts after preordering them last night. Upon arriving to the location I was told that the doughnuts were not there and that they were given to DoorDash orders instead. After leaving the site, one of the owners reached out and immediately corrected the mistake made by the staff member and gave me my order free of charge. I am impressed by the quickness of the business owners to respond to the issue and provide a solution. The response has totally changed my opinion of the business.
