Me and my friend, we were on our holiday and made a short visit to a friend who live in Bellingham. Our friend took us to Lux Thai for lunch. We like it very much. The food was good and the staff are very friendly. We have to take a doggy bag home, because the portion was big.

This was by far the worst Thai restaurant I’ve ever had, and without question the worst papaya salad. The dish was mostly cabbage and what looked like the outer rind of a melon, definitely not papaya, with one tiny rock-hard dried shrimp, a few peanuts, chili flakes, and fish sauce.
Aside from the cabbage, only the carrot and peanuts were soft. The “papaya” was so tough it felt like chewing melon skin. The single dried shrimp was inedible, so hard I had to spit it out. It seemed over-dried or not soaked at all.
Overall, the dish was disappointing and inedible. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic or even decent Thai food.

I’ve been here twice nice and both times ordered the Garlic Fried Rice with pork. First time I got a 2* heat and it was good. Last time I got a 4* heat and it was super delicious and spicy! Both times were perfectly cooked to my order. Can’t suggest this place more if you’re looking for some good food!

Food is great, never had any issue before with dozens of orders. Something was seriously wrong with the thai iced coffees last night. Someone added an excessively sweet syrup flavoring akin to baileys irish coffee which overpowered any real coffee flavor there might have been. The flavor was poor and made them unpalatable Im leaving a five star anyways. Thank you for the usual good food and service!

Luxe Thai is arguably the best restaurant in Ferndale, WA. It’s definitely the best Thai in Whatcom county. The tom kha is so delicious. The sisters are from Thailand and have graciously shared their culture, cuisine and vibes with our little community. Great food with generous portions. This is the best Thai I’ve had in Whatcom County over the past few years. We ordered the Basil fried rice, pad thai, and panang curry. At 2/5 stars they were all still spicy, maybe veering into 3/5 star territory.
