The chicken lo mein had no flavor, very bland could not taste any seasoning ginger or nothing. The honey chicken old, taste like leftover from refrigerator. Give it 2 stars beef in the lo mein was tender and broccoli was not over cooked. The meal had no authentic flavor for Chinese food. Very Bland!!

Tasty China House is hands down one of the best spots in town if you are craving comforting, flavorful Chinese food. The fried fish is perfectly crispy on the outside yet tender and flaky inside easily one of the standout dishes. The chicken lo mein hits that ideal balance of savory and slightly smoky with springy noodles and plenty of chicken. If you are into lighter flavors, the steamed fish is a must-try: fresh, delicate, and seasoned just right without being overpowering.

I am a big fan of their food and love the things from their authentic menu. I tried the spicy pork intestines on a whim and that is now my go to. Ive had some really long wait times last year there was two times where i waited over an hour for my food (once at the restaurant and the other was delivery.) I didnt order for a while after that but startes again at the end of the year. Since i started again they have been pretty good on time.

This is my most favorite restaurant till now at Manhattan! Absolutely delicious food, great presentation. Parking available nearby, and comparatively very inexpensive. Perfect atmosphere for a family retreat, and the soup costs only $1.55 to start with! Fast service. Will be back for sure!

I frequented this place a lot of times in 2024-25 until one day when I went in the afternoon to get lunch. The man was rude and cared less about paying attention to the order. He messed it up and frowned when I said I was eating in the restraunts and I did not order a take out. On top of that they gave a warm boba drink in the scorching summer of July after I had specifically told them I needed a cold one. When I asked them that I had requested for a cold one they mumbled under their breath. In retrospect boba tea come cold. I felt terrible and left the restaurant without the food after I had paid and tipped them before hand. I will never recommend this restaurant to anyone and deeply regret giving them a quite a lot of business before.

They actually have an authentic or traditional section to their menu. I had to try two of them, the Chongqing chicken and the spicy boiled fish. Both are very tasty!! The chicken was very tasty and seasoned well, and crispy! Now it wasn’t totally traditional, because the bones were removed. I was told because too many people didn’t like dealing with the bones The fish is very good and honestly not too spicy, just a little kick. Most people I think could handle the heat of these two dishes. Unless you can’t tolerate and heat. The hot & sour soup was good as well. There didn’t seem to be much of the slight sour taste, but still good. Definitely worth trying and good sized portions.

Initially, the place seems like a dump. There’s weird items for sale like bicycles and shirts and random items. It felt like a thrift store.

Came here on a recommendation on the food… which was delicious. Great value too. I’d recommend the food for pickup.

Service was pretty good but nothing special or better than anywhere else. Not too friendly but not mean or rude or anything.

To the owners: don’t sell bicycles and clean the place up. I would have loved to give 4 or 5 stars.

Do not eat here! Literally just go to Panda Express. I’ve never had such disgusting Chinese food ever. We got the general tso’s chicken and the chicken was soggy and with runny sauce that tasted like vinegar. Like how can a Chinese place mess up one of the most basic dishes? We couldn’t even eat it so we threw it away. The “fried” rice had no flavor and tasted like they just put a little oil on it. We also got the appetizer sampler and it came with beef teriyaki skewers that had no sauce on them and instead had 2 very dried out jerky pieces of questionable meat on them. The sesame balls we’re also completely undercooked. Overpriced and disgusting. We threw it all away but I’m still nervous of getting food illness from the few bites we tried.

We went late ish (7:30) on a Saturday night. There were only a few other people there. The place was clean. Staff was friendly but our waiter had a one track mind and could not multi-task. It took him several trips back and forth to our table to get things handled.
Large menu, we didn’t go too adventurous. It wasn’t bad typical Chinese food. The steamed rice had been in there for some time.

I’m new to Kansas and this is the first place I’ve purchased Chinese food from. The general tso’s chicken tastes oddly citrus like, almost like pineapple, and the bulgolgi tastes nothing like bulgolgi.

I was stationed in Korea for a year and ate Bulgolgi almost everyday and never had bulgolgi so bland and tough.

The eggrolls are greasy and small, and it didn’t come with any duck sauce.

The white rice was pretty good, but the fried rice was very dry and stale. It tasted kind of like it was 5 days old and thrown in the microwave.

Overall not a good experience. I won’t be eating here again.
