We went for lunch here yesterday, on a busy Saturday without a reservation. It was our first time here. We were surprised to find the place completely packed!

The restaurant is on the small side but decor was enchanting, authentic Thai and the atmosphere was cozy and clean despite it being chock full of people!

The presumed owner cleared a lone table for us that had other things on it and was able to accommodate us rather quickly. We ordered the Thai crispy chicken, the red curry rice dish with beef and the pad Thai with shrimp, which 3 of us shared. The food came quickly! All of the meals were excellent and well presented. Very tasty and the portions were a perfect size for lunch – not too big and not too small!

We had excellent service by the gentleman we had, who seemed to be the only person working the tables, I am presuming was the owner. It appears the restaurant is family-run. He was very friendly, humerous and upbeat. We really enjoyed our visit and will be back again! Thank you for the nice lunch My Thai Village!

First time eating here. The food was delicious. I was most impressed with how they were very accommodating with my dietary restrictions. Most restaurants will be so accommodating. Highly recommend My Thia Village.

My daughter and I had the appetizer platter, the deep fried wontons, and the flat noodles pad si-ew with beef. YUMMM. Perfectly cooked beef and hot noodles. We devoured the chicken wontons in the peanut sauce. Service was really nice – sweet staff. Close to the hwy – definitely stopping here again on my way in and out of Ottawa.

Great thai restaurant. Service was excellent. The coconut soup with lemongrass and shrimp was delicious. We had spring rolls, fried and tasty, coconut curry with chicken and potatoes and the glass noodle veggie dish. All were really good. The bill was very reasonable as well. I would go back.

Ordered off a App! Yellow curry & Chicken Sate sticks with a side of coconut rice.

Curry needed a bit more flavor & thickness but was not bad for Kanata standards.

The chicken sticks are tasty and the peanut sate sauce compliments perfectly.

My only requests would be for the owners to give us that authentic home house curry they make for their loved ones.

They also need to add a fried egg option & simple soup broth to their delivery app choices.

I would of certainly added both to my order. Coconut rice was pretty good.

Glad I had extra peanut sauce to put on the rice before topping with the yellow curry.

Service was amazing! Both the wait staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming.

Restaurant’s homey and clean.. not too many dine in customers (although it might be due to the bad weather on a Monday..)
Constant stream of take out orders when we first sat down though.

Last but not least, the food was great! We tried the red, and green chicken curries (with coconut rice, yum!), shrimp spring roll, and thai iced tea. Great presentation and balance of flavours. Only thing I would’ve liked to see is more protein (chicken) in the curries, but it was still very good.

For dessert, we had the fried banana with vanilla bean ice cream, and the tapioca. Both were excellent – tapioca if you prefer less sweet.

All in all, highly recommend this restaurant – first tried it 4 yrs ago and it’s still as good as I remembered.

Great atmosphere, friendly service and exquisite Thai food. The knowledgeable staff help you explore new plates if you’re adventurous, otherwise feel free to stick to your favorite Thai plates and you’d never be disappointed.

Great food! Fresh tasting and portion size is just right! My dining companion loved the shrimp roll (shrimp tail was sticking out)! I was there with a large group and everyone enjoyed their meals. Great lunch combos! Excellent service too! It is a smallish place (about 40 people) and the parking is a bit tight but a lovely meal located in the strip mall on the corner of hazeldean and castlefrank! We will be visiting again!

Ordered GF pad see ew here (first time trying Thai food since moving to Ottawa area. )Was ok but wouldn’t get again will give another chance another time. Was nice had gf options but have had better Thai food elsewhere in GTA. Sauce was runny and flavour wasn’t there. Also found the portion size small. Not a ton of rice noodles. Will definitely try the pad Thai next time since it seems to have good reviews. Lady working was very helpful and kind.
