If you love pizza, you can’t go wrong at Domenic’s & Vinnie’s which has been in business for 75 years. They specialize in pizza only, although you can also get a side salad.
A wide variety of toppings but I especially liked the honey glazed pepperoni pizza which is rectangular instead of the standard round shape. Each piece of pizza is covered by one large slice of pepperoni glazed with honey and spices.

We stopped in on Friday after school with our two boys and used a $10 off large pizza coupon, which made it an even better deal. We ordered a large cheese (half with pepperoni) and a small bacon & onion. Both came out hot, fresh, and really tasty. While it’s not New Haven–style pizza in my opinion, Dominic & Vinnie’s isn’t trying to be, they’ve created their own unique style of pizza that stands out and is delicious in its own right.
The service was excellent, friendly and attentive, and the restaurant has a great old-school atmosphere inside that makes it feel welcoming and comfortable. Between the flavor, the service, the vibe, and the value, it was a great family night out. We’ll definitely be back!

We ordered a pepperoni pizza & a sausage & mushroom pizza for take out. Both pizzas were closed & stapled in a paper bag so couldn’t be checked when we picked them up.
The sausage pizza was fine but the pepperoni pizza was totally burnt. Not only was the meat burnt but the entire crust was charred.
My husband called & the manager argued with him saying the pepperoni looked burnt because of the type they used. He never apologized but finally agreed to credit our Visa for the pie. We ended up getting a pepperoni pizza from Spartan’s, which was excellent by the way.
In all my years ordering pizza I have never been served such a horrible quality pie. Please look at the pictures & tell me how any business could serve this pizza and find it acceptable.
Finally, my husband returned the pizza so they could see for themselves how it was totally burnt.

I haven’t been here in years and Connecticut has a lot of good pizza and then stuff that can be considered pizza.
This is Good Pizza. It’s comfort food pizza. For some reason I don’t remember it being as fluffy as it was today but still good.
Bacon was amazing and the Pepperoni was right on.
We ate in, there were a few tables that weren’t clean and the plates may have had oil on them. (Wasn’t water)
I will try the Waterbury one again too because they were amazing as I remember it.
Waitress was very nice.
There is an option to make the pizza thin. However it doesn’t come like that regularly. Also for 1 Medium 2 topping pizza and 2 fountain drinks with free refill the coast was $31.

Pizza used to be good. I don’t know what happened. kids making the pizza now. I went there for the first time in a long time and the sauce is really spicy. It completely went downhill . Pizza was a bit dry and overcooked. Wont be going back. The sauce is terrible.

This was the first time ordering from Domenic’s and Vinnie’s. Got a medium Hot Lips pizza and a large cheese pizza with pepperoni. The Hot Lips pizza is probably the best pizza I have ever tasted. Absolutely 5/5 taste and cooked to perfection. The different flavors really complement each other. I will 100% be ordering this pizza again!

From reading their menu I knew to expect a darker, crispy crust and honestly the crust was lighter than anticipated, but about half of the pizza was just charred to a crisp on the bottom. I usually like a little bit of dark crust, but having the bottom being so overdone made it inedible. We basically had to scrape off the top of the burnt slices and eat that and toss out the bottom part.
I’m hoping it is a one time issue because the Hot Lips pizza was so good and the edible parts of the pepperoni pizza were also very good. I will be giving them another try in the near future.

Domenic’s and Vinnie was pretty good! A large pizza is most definitely a large size here. Pizza has a thinner crust with a nice combination of crunchy and soft parts. Lots of toppings provided. Sauce is really good. Interior is a bit dated and has worn seating and not the best visual overall.. but the pizza wins out over that.

I’m unsure how others can give this place a good review. The pizza tastes like cardboard the building’s old and outdated. With that for the size of the pizza is the price is not make any sense. Yeah the pizza was not burnt but the only good thing there was just the girl 4 customer service.

Well we were very disappointed in the pizza we ordered – well we noticed when you dine in the pizza is a lot thicker compared to take-out. We have been there several times to dine in and the pizza was nice n thick but we ordered take out the last three times and it was was under a 1/4″ thick – this last one we just picked up we waited for 1 hour and 30 minutes to get a pie that was even thinner and not to mention burned on the bottom (which we threw out) after a 30 minute ride back home – i cant believe they would give this to a great customer of God knows how many years – but this pie was about a 1/8″ thick – we will probably never come back or recommend this place – we provided a photo of it below
