We hace5 tv’s inside and 4 outside to watch all the sports you want. We also have games such as Golden Tee, Buck Hunter and a Pool Table. The wait staff is friendly but somehow almost every time the loyalty points system doesn’t allow us to use our points… the staff is usually confused about it. I’d say once every 5/6 times it works and the points discount is always a nice helper to the bill.
$$, Recommend for anyone looking for a place to grab a cold beer and relax while watching a game or chowing down on some crabs.
After rebranding from a crab house to a sports bar and grill, Bushels was and is still my favorite place for good crabs and a personal recommendation for staying off the mainstream line for them! Their all you can eat feasts have only grown to now include crawfish! While the appetisers are pricier than I would expect for bar and grill service the main entrees will entice anyone from cheesesteaks to decadent pastas. While I miss their crab house vibes I’m interested to see them expand into this new design.
I’ve wanted to re-review this location for a while being a personal fan of the Zoggs group and their other locations in Lewes and Rehoboth. My review has been updated but still includes last year’s commentary below.
Previous Review:
Casual restaurant/crab shack. Went with a group of 5 and sat outside as music inside was louder than expected. Was not crowded. Menu entree’s were limited and majority came a la carte. Service was slow but the staff were pleasant. Among our entrees the fried shrimp dish did not meet personal quality expectation, cocktail sauce was solidified, chicken was overcooked and tasted like fish for the caeser salad. All you can eat crabs were cooked well and maintained the medium size as advertised. Due to there being a few crab shacks in Rehoboth and this restaurant being a member the Zogg’s family (a company I that respect) I personally expected better from tonight’s dinner.
Firstly, the food itself was a letdown. I ordered 12 crabs, expecting a flavorful and well-seasoned delicacy. Unfortunately, what arrived on my plate was bland, mushy and lacked any discernible taste. The crab meat seemed dull and lacked freshness, leaving me questioning the quality of the crabs. It was undoubtedly some sort of the worst crabs I have ever had. It was $130 for a dozen crabs!
Moreover, the service at this crab house was abysmal. The staff seemed disinterested and inattentive to the needs of the customers. Despite the restaurant not being particularly busy, I had to wait an unreasonable amount of time for both my order to be taken and my food to arrive. The servers were inattentive, neglecting to check on tables or refill glasses. Their lack of professionalism and indifference left a sour taste in my mouth, figuratively and literally.
Furthermore, the overall ambiance of the restaurant was decent but it was dead as far as business. The interior felt dated and worn, lacking any charm or warmth. The seating arrangements were uncomfortable, and the noise level was excessive, making it difficult to hold a conversation. It certainly did not create an inviting or enjoyable dining atmosphere.
Given the underwhelming quality of the food, the subpar service, and the uninspiring ambiance, I cannot recommend this crab house to anyone seeking a delightful seafood dining experience. There are undoubtedly better options available in Rehoboth Beach, and I encourage visitors to explore those instead.
We ordered two Cadillac margaritas, my favorite drink, especially bc they use top notch ingredients for it. Both drinks were not drinkable from being beyond sour. Luckily we explained to our waitress and she took it off the bill for us.
The mussels were just not good. Very oily and buttery. Usually that’s the best part; the wine sauce.
My Husband got friend shrimp and mashed potatoes. It looked and tasted like the potatoes came from a box mix.
