We absolutely loved our visit to this hidden gem! We first spotted it in what felt like the middle of nowhere, and we are so glad we stopped. The food was incredible — everything tasted fresh, authentic, and full of flavour.
The thin-crust pizza was loaded with toppings and baked perfectly — crispy, light, and so delicious. Their BBQ pork strips and shrimp fried rice were also outstanding — rich, savoury, and truly authentic Chinese flavours that reminded us of proper home-style cooking. You can tell they really care about the quality and taste of their food.
The atmosphere is warm, clean, and welcoming, and the service was wonderful. Mickeal was especially friendly and made us feel right at home. Prices are very reasonable and affordable for the quality and portions.
We’re so happy we discovered this place. It’s one of those restaurants you never forget — and we will definitely come back anytime we pass through this way. Highly recommended!

Such a lovely place, very cozy. The food was really good, the lo main was the best I’ve ever eaten – the noodles weren’t dry, beef chunks were soft and juicy, enough vegetables – perfect combination. The waiter (Mary-Ann) was so kind, and even remembered us when we came the second time few weeks later, and remembered what I ordered previously when we visited the third time.

First the pizza. If you enjoy ultra thin crust pizza, then Hanson’s rendition will satisfy your craving. The undercarriage is well cooked and offers a no flop pizza Slice. Toppings and cheese taste fresh. The seafood pizza is something I don’t usually order, but it takes like a chinese style shrimp and broccoli on pizza, and in this case, is a really good thing. Finally got around to trying Hanson’s after moving to stouffville a year ago. Service was great and the waitress was very attentive. We went there for lunch and ordered 3 items on their lunch menu and a pizza:
Crispy Beef lunch: the beef was surprisingly crispy and was glazed in what it seemed a sweet honey sauce. Vegetables were nicely stirfried as well. This is highly recommended.
Sweet and Sour Chicken lunch: when we first read the description, we didn’t think it would be chicken balls. We thought it would come in a form similar to the crispy beef. We asked the waitress and she said if we wanted the other one, it is called “pineapple and chicken” on their menu. Having that said, the breading on the chicken balls weren’t too thick and had a huge portion of chicken breast in it. The fried rice that came with this dish was delicious so I would also recommend trying this.
Haddock and Fries: This dish was OK. The fish was nicely crispy but felt a bit mushy – not sure if it was slightly overcooked. Fries were good as we think it’s the same Fries that Costco serves.
Deluxe Pizza: If you like a cheesy, packed pizza then this would be your go to. It is heavy and filled with toppings. The crust was thin and a bit tough for us so it’s not something that we preferred.
Overall, I would come again but I think I would stick with the Chinese food only next time.

Hansons has been here for a long time. Very plain looking when you arrive but quite nice place inside. They have a large menu, with great variety. Everything was very well made. Great Crispy Beef. Good portions at a reasonable price. Marianne works very hard to keep customers happy, gets the orders right, and served quickly. A bit out of the way from Richmond Hill, but ok from Aurora or Newmarket. Give this place a try

I was so pleasantly surprised at how amazing the service was and how tasty the food was. This little gem of a restaurant looks so unassuming from the outside. It looks like you might be about to walk into a simple and maybe rustic place, but it was the opposite! The inside of the restaurant is so classy and modern. The decor is so clean and stylish. Our server was so polite, friendly and thoughtful. There were 7 of us in our party and we were given a gorgeous private room. We ordered a pizza, chicken parmesan, BBQ pork slices, Crispy beef, Shanghai noodles, general tso chicken, Cantonese chow mein, wonton soup and egg rolls. The only negative was that the Cantonese chow mein was a bit bland as was the wonton soup. Everything else was really flavourful though! You can’t go wrong with this restaurant. We will definitely be coming back!

Nice restaurant, very attentive staff. The Chinese food was OK. Not amazing, but not terrible. It would have been better if the sauce was served on the chicken, rather than on the side.
The pizza was also good, but the crust, while thin (which is nice), was quite tough. The amount of toppings on the personal pizza was good.

I’ve been going to Hanson’s since 1996 and I’m amazed me at the incredible variety on the menu! Better yet, everything is perfectly prepared and delicious. Best of all is the outstanding service from Maryanne … so cheerful, so accommodating, a real joy!
