One of the best banh mi’s I’ve had. The bread was perfectly light, crunchy, crispy and airy. I had the special and the filling was delicious and well balanced. Perfect portion size. Priced 13.90. We loved it so much we returned again and had it for dinner. They only offer takeaway service – but definitely a must visit when in Lucerne.

The banh mi and pho were flavorful and satisfying, especially given the price point, which is rare in Luzern.

Unfortunately, the experience was let down by the service. The lady staff was noticeably rude and unwelcoming, which really affected the overall visit. Good food deserves better hospitality.

I’d come back for the food, but only if the service improves.

Had the ribs with rice noodles to go – worst meat quality I got ever served. 16Fr. for noodles, a bit of Migros salad mix and butcher leftovers. Almost no meat. Just a pile of bones, cartilage and fat. Grossing out while trying to get the tiny bit of meat off of it. The sauce was some type of tasteless oil. Never again and can clearly not recommend it.

Best banh mi my husband and I have ever had. We’re Vietnamese and would say it rivals some of the banh mi we’ve had in Vietnam. If we’re ever in Lucerne again, we’d definitely come back.

It was already off with their attitude when I entered. The lady seemed to hate her job.
But that’s understandable, I don’t expect customer service from a tiny take-away place. But the last straw to make this review is I ordered two boxes of rice, they gave me ONE SPOON, I went outside of the shop, checked carefully, came back and asked for one more. They said: THERE ARE TWO ALREADY IN THERE, IT’S ONE ON TOP OF THE OTHER
And guess what? There is ONLY ONE SPOON for my whole order.
It’s such a shame and disappointment.

Update to respond to the shop’s reply:
1. About the conversation, I may talk softly at low voice so you could not capture fully what I said but when I spoke in Vietnamese, I spoke with manner, either Da in the beginning or A at the end.

2. When I asked in Vietnamese if you speak Vietnamese, you responded in English “yes” 🙂 that didn’t sound friendly, did it?

3. When I entered there was no other customer (only one other coming in after I finalized my order and was waiting), thus I asked for full information to share with my brother who was waiting at Lucern station so he could inform his decision on what to order. I called him to get his order, I don’t think there is anything not nice with that!

4. There is one small detail when I asked the cashier for the sauce to be in a small paper bowl/cup, you said that even if it can be put in, I will not be able to take it out (not sure you talked to me or the cashier) and you commanded the cashier to put it in one corner. I don’t mind the way the sauce was placed but the way you were.

5. You also confirmed in your response that I said there is only one spoon, you assumed that I was wrong, refused to give one more and said that there were two and now blaming me for not proving my point or that I didn’t ask the right question.

6. I said you seemed to hate your job, I didn’t say that you hate your job, if you don’t, good for you but my two cents, really look into whether it’s the job you love or not 🙂

Ps: I’m just a tourist in Switzerland, I’m neither local nor a great source of your shop’s income. There is no need to come back at me like that 🙂 I shared review from time to time on Google Maps not to attack anyone but to share my experience with others.
If you cannot handle such comment, then let it be. Peace! ✌️

OMGGGG this place is such a blessing! For Asians who just need a break from EU food, this is the spot to be! The pork belly is crispy and succulent. The spring rolls are flavorful and tastes authentic.

They’re only available for take out however I do wish they get more customers so they can expand coz they deserve it!

For tourists, don’t be discouraged! You can just go to the benches by the lake to enjoy their food while looking at the view.

Delicious sandwich with pork belly. The bread was crispy at outside and the sandwich came with great amount of pork belly. The Asian sauerkraut balanced the oily part of the meat. Coriander and sriracha sauce added extra layer of flavour. And the staff were sweet and friendly ☺️ definitely worth the price and recommended!

Ps the prices are slightly different than the ones posted on google maps by other customers, the new price for a sandwich was 13.9 CHF.

One of the best bánh mì spots I’ve ever been to. They bake their bread fresh every morning, and you can taste the difference—crispy on the outside, soft inside, just perfect. The staff are always super nice, and the owners are genuinely warm and welcoming. They’ve been around for years, and somehow the flavor has stayed exactly the same—in the best way. I came back after a couple of years and it was like nothing had changed. Whenever I crave bánh mì, this is the only place that hits the spot. Just consistently amazing.

As a Vietnamese I can confirm it’s by far the best Banh Mi in Switzerland. The bread is very close to how it is in Vietnam, the pork belly was crispy and juicy at the same time. Highly recommended.
