I think it’s ridiculous to charge regular drink prices for tap water. The staff said it was a cup charge. $2.99 for tap water. I don’t think a cup cost two $2.99 a piece, in bulk. Everything is tasty and worth the trip, but if you don’t drink soda bring your own water.
The chicken tasted like frozen bagged chicken, which was “fried,” and then reheated. With a light dusting of sauce.
The garlic fries and BBQ beans were better than the chicken. It’s what saved the meal. Which is not what you would hope for going to a restaurant that specializes in chicken.
Price was a bit high, and the service was good. The cashier was friendly and apologetic for the wait time. Overall, I probably wouldn’t come back, but it wasn’t terrible.
I will start with the positives the meals 2 through 6 come with fries and a drink and the chicken and fries were hot. The sweet potato fries tasted like sweet potatos but they were soggy.
For the negatives it’s extremely expensive and everything is extra. The sauces are very watery. The chicken was flavorless, and dry with some of it to hard to even chew. The soda was almost flavorless. This is very expensive for a very disappointing meal. We spent $42 for two meals and a tip. I have had better chicken from the freezer section at the grocery store and the bar down the street both for a fraction of the cost. We were hoping for a meal at the same level as Dave’s hot chicken but this was not it.
Burger was amazing- bun held its own and didnt fall apart on me, sauce that I chose to go with was sweet, tangy and the mac salad would leave my grandmother in tears.
I had to go back another time to try their chicken if the burger held its own and let me tell you something. Those reviews raving about their chick is on point. Fresh, crunchy and perfectly seasoned. Fries were extra crispy(I think I know how but not going to give out that secret), and another sauce went perfectly with the whole meal.
Go get your chicken on at The Chicken Shack, another local business that isn’t clucking around when it comes down to delicious grub.
