Wow! Detroit Style pizza is hard to find and they had it. It was nice and buttery. Had the stuffed pizza and their own diet root beer which was good too. The owner Sal and his son Alex were very friendly. Please try!

We had the cheese pizza with Caesar salad and garlic bread. Garlic bread wasn’t very good and salad was okay. The cheese pizza was decent, but nothing special. There are tables to sit in the back and it’s pretty empty. Service was friendly and quick. Would go back for a quick slice of pizza in a pinch.

I grew up eating Nicolas pizza and moved away as a young adult. Upon visiting Nicolas over a decade later, the pizza was so good it quite literally made me cry. I cannot recommend it enough. In this humble cooks opinion, this place makes the best pizza in the world.

This place is completely amazing. The building has such history from the 1700s. The owners are so kind and accommodating. The dining room is simple but has a nice wood fire place. The food is excellent but the service is top notch. We had the pizza, cheese steak, and eggplant roloitini (pictured)

Took an off day drive out to Lambertville to do some sightseeing. I ended up stopping at this local pizzeria and was thoroughly impressed. Nicolas has been around for over 50 years, which is always a good sign, and built inside what was once a colonial era tavern. The signature pizza of this area of NJ is the Trenton upside down tomato pie ( similar to a typical New York style plain pie but with the sauce over the cheese), and their’s is excellent. The sauce was plump and naturally sweet , the ratio of sauce to cheese was typical of this style, and the crust was thin and crunchy with little flop, just the way I like it. Equally impressive was their signature cheesesteak, the “GasPipe”, made with a combination of I assume to be shaved ribeye, chicken, mushrooms, onions, garlic, spinach, eggs, and white American cheese on an Italian roll, DELISH.

Nicola’s has been our go-to place for pizza for over 2 decades. Their product is consistently delicious and their service is prompt and courteous. Our favorites are the Brooklyn pizza (worth waiting for), cheese fries, antipasto and cheese steaks. Family owned and operated and you can tell. You get that warm feeling of community!!! There are plenty of choices around, but we always choose Nicola’s!
