The tables were dirty. The waitress did a half ass job of cleaning the tables around us but didn’t bother with ours. The tacos were bland with no flavor. Decent flaky texture but the dough could use some salt. Definitely over rated. Lord John’s had way better tacos back in the day. $8.30 for 13 small 1/2″ square cubes of of hot pepper cheese. I would expect a full basket at that price. Overall Taco Bell has a better chalupa. Don’t waste your time here. They look better than they taste.

Nice hole in the wall bar! When you hear people say “bar food is good food,” they meet those standards! Lord John tacos were amazing ! the burger special was delcious! bartender was extremely nice and friendly. Even though I only picked up my order, the service and food were outstanding.

I haven’t lived in Kokomo for 15 years, so I jumped at the chance for some lord jons tacos while visiting my bro for the holidays. We called in an order and they didn’t give us a total over the phone but we had been looking at the menu online so we thought we knew. We get there and our order which should have been just over forty was just shy of seventy bucks. While walking out I saw there was a sign that said prices on menus may not be accurate, placed conveniently behind the swinging door so you can only see it when leaving. Tacos were exactly what I expected but I’ll never go back for those prices. Also the server who was just surfing the TV when we came in was quit rude about splitting the bill.

I’m from Kokomo,I remember when these tacos were on the westside. I live in Indianapolis now and haven’t had these in over 20 years. Although it was satisfying to have the infamous tacos, the meat was season less, a bland like taste. The hot sauce helps pick up where the meat lacks…. Glad they stopped smoking in there too.

Typical bar atmosphere. The bartender was working HARD. We ordered a variety of food. Tacos, hotdog taco and the taco egg roll. They were just okay. Kind of bland. Folks keep saying hot sauce is a must…. I think that’s true. Regardless would be a good place to drink and once youre drunk enough who cares what the food tastes like.
