Reviews
Musume absolutely delivered. From the moment we sat down, the experience was dialed in. Food, service, and atmosphere all on point.
Our server Abbi was next level. She was incredibly knowledgeable, walked us through the menu with confidence, and every single recommendation she made hit. Not one miss. You can tell when someone actually understands the food they’re serving, and she elevated the entire night.
The dishes were beautifully presented and packed with flavor, from the perfectly cooked fish and rich sauces to the sushi rolls that were clean, balanced, and fresh. Even the sides and small plates stood out. Attention to detail everywhere.
Musume isn’t just a place you go to eat, it’s an experience. If you’re at The Star and want top-tier Japanese cuisine with elite service, this is the spot. Ask for Abbi and trust the process. We’ll definitely be back.
The service was phenomenal. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable throughout the meal. A highlight of the evening was when the owner personally came by our table to say hello, which was a thoughtful touch.
The food was amazing. Every dish was beautifully plated and tasted incredible. The scallops were perfectly seared, and the sashimi was fresh and expertly prepared. The drinks were also outstanding and complemented our meal perfectly.
The presentation deserves special mention – each course looked like a work of art with elegant plating and attention to detail. The birthday dessert arrived with a sparkler, making the celebration feel extra special.
If you’re looking for high-quality Japanese cuisine with excellent service in a private setting, Musume is an excellent choice. Highly recommend for special occasions or any time you want a memorable dining experience.
Note: our party of 8 had automatic gratuity added (which is expected )
He started off by going over the drinks and giving us some information about the many whiskeys musume has, which was awesome to learn!! Then he suggested the rising sun cocktail to which I order and man.. it was so refreshing. It’s like I took a bite into a fresh, crispy cucumber..
Now the food.. I.. words can’t even explain on how good the food was. He gave us complimentary shared plates, which was so sweet of him because we were first time guests! Then towards the end of the dinner, I received a card that had everyone’s name on it signed and said happy birthday. That had to be one of the most touching things that has ever happen to me. Everyone was so kind, to which is why this review is so long. The desserts were phenomenal with the sparklers as well.
Thank you to everyone who wrote on the card and Thank you Andy K. You made my birthday super special and small touches you did was fantastic.
Thank you, Musume for giving us an incredible dining experience and elevating the dining scene in the area. We need more places like this in Frisco! We will definitely be back!
Next came the 10oz Wagyu Flat Iron Steak from Rosewood Farms in Ennis, TX. Cooked to a perfectly rendered 137° and hand sliced, this succulent cut was served with two amazing sauces, a green peppercorn and a red wine reduction that kicked it over the top. Our side, the incredible hand-cut, twice fried Togarashi French Fries with Sambal Ketchup, made a perfect accompaniment to satisfy even the pickiest FF connoisseur.
Lastly, the hand crafted cocktails were beyond reproach, and the staff were superb. Calvin is the sharpest, most professional bartender I’ve met. All of their specialty craft cocktails are worthy of a taste. Oh, and you’ll want to save room for the decadent chocolate dessert.
Expect a curated, A-crowd experience. Not the same old Marquis, the interior has been upgraded to a sophisticated, chic, yet comfortable feel, and no late night bar dregs or saki bombs to be found. Definitely 10 out of 5 stars!
