When I was a kid, I used to ride my bike to Dortoni’s in Levittown. Yesterday I got off the ferry in Port Jefferson and I was thinking to myself that I have to stop and get something to bring to my relatives and I was so happy to see this delightful bakery. I had no idea that Dortoni expanded all over LI.

Just purchased bunch of goods pay extra credit charge of almost $3.00(no sign in the store about it) came home to find out that the blueberry turnover was basically empty inside and the dough was stale and dry. This same was with small eclairs. The filling was still moist but the pastry dry and unsuitable for eating.

The one particular woman working was not just indifferent but openly rude, dismissive, and argumentative. She actually refused to serve me and gaslit me as if it was my fault.
The other woman who stepped in could not have been more nicer and accommodating.
When I stepped outside the store a woman mentioned to me that I was not wrong and she was shocked at the way I was treated and discriminated against by your employee.

Terrible pastries. They tasted old! Got the magic bar, cream puffs, cheesecake and the carrot cake. The carrot cake was the only OK one out of them all. Won’t be coming back unfortunately

I have been enjoying some of their pastries and cookies for some years but I decided to leave this review hoping the cupcake packaging could improve. I ordered cookies and four mini cupcakes with frosting and sprinkles on top for desserts tonight. Now my kids were all expecting their pretty cupcakes… but when we opened the box, this is what we found. The mini cupcakes are inside a large box with no compartment or holder, so the cupcakes tumbled in our way home and frosting was smeared. Huge disappointment! The same experience happened when I ordered soccer ball designed cupcakes for my son’s birthday. The baker created cute designs but when it was delivered to the party venue, they were all smudged in the box. Most cupcake places I know would use paper or plastic containers with individual holders. Am I expecting too much?

I came here on a rainy snowy Sunday afternoon with my boyfriend to have a little Cafe date. There were a million pastries to choose from, and I wanted to try them all.
I maintained some semblance of decorum and ordered a lemon bar, mini fruit tart, and a marzipan orange. My boyfriend had a couple of mini eclaires, a pignoli cookie, and a rainbow cookie. He also had a double espresso, and i ordered a cappuccino. Everything we tried was fresh and delicious! The cappuccino was average, nothing special, but good, cappuccino. My boyfriend said the double espresso was “fine”.
The seating area was small and wasn’t incredibly comfortable.
The service was very nice and helpful.
Would reccomend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Our daughter’s “Scream for 14” was a Slashing good time today. ❤️ First off, this is our favorite bakery. The staff is always lovely and so helpful. We have been ordering our cakes for the last 14+ years from Dortoni, and they never disappoint. Today’s cake was something I never thought I’d order, but as you can see – they killed it. ♀️ The only thing that would make this purchase better, would be to be able to meet and thank the baker in person! — We opted for strawberry shortcake with buttercream frosting. Everyone asked where it was from because it was so light, yet just the right amount of sweet. Half of the staff at the venue we brought the cake to, came up to take photos. It was such a hit, and we cannot wait to order our next cake from Dortoni!

Clean bakery and friendly staff. My sister and I placed an order for my parents 30th anniversary. From placing the cake order to picking it up, everything was made easy. The cake looked beautiful, and it tasted delicious. Definitely give them a try. And as always don’t forget to say Bismillah and Alhamdulilah for everything ❤️

What amazing attention to detail!!! I am so pleased with my experience! I called in a cake and the girl on the phone I believe her name was Julianna was so sweet! I emailed a picture and details for what I wanted on my cake and they were quick to reply. I was able to pay over the phone and go pick up the cake a few days later. The bakery itself is so cute and all of the workers were sweethearts. I picked up my cake and a few extra goodies on the way out. I can’t wait to show this cake off later at my girlfriend’s birthday party!!!
