Came out here from Colorado to visit family on the lake, and they took us here to dinner. Easy access with our boat, and someone working on the dock helped us out. No wait for a table, and they are dog friendly at the outside tables.
The frozen drinks were delicious, and our food came out fast hot and fresh. Food had large portions so we were able to take home leftovers.

Ok. This was really The Rusty Anchor. First all I can say is OUTSTANDING! I was by myself, so I just sat at the bar and ordered. It was a Saturday evening and the place was very busy. People come by land and by water. I ordered Johnny’s Chicken. It’s grilled chicken breast with homemade honey mustard BBQ sauce then layered with sliced ham, bacon and melted cheddar and Jack cheeses. My waitress recommended the loaded mashed potatoes which had bacon bits, scallions and melted cheese. It also came with a salad and she also recommended the Hot Bacon Vinaigrette Honey Mustard dressing. Holy moly! It was soooo good. The food was excellent and the staff was great. Yes, I will be back!
OK, I did go back. That salad with the hot bacon vinaigrette, honey mustard dressing pulled me back like a magnet. This time I got the grilled chicken salad. Except, what I did not realize, you get a choice of grilled chicken or fried chicken. So I got the fried chicken! And again, this salad is so exceptional! I believe my waiter’s name was Lee, and he was a great waiter. All of the staff there was awesome and very attentive to every customer. But back to my salad, That salad was exceptional. I asked for a little bit extra salad dressing since it was such a large salad and he gladly brought me some extra at no additional charge. This was all in the Rusty Anchor side of the restaurant and again, I will be back!

I was honestly surprised by this restaurant. Good food, great atmosphere, an amazing view, and excellent service. The wait staff was killing it! I had the catfish and I really liked it. Everyone in our party enjoyed the food. The portions are good. The menu is limited, but we knew that before going. If you want lakeside dining, but are tired of going to Liberty, check this place out!

We went here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon with a group of 7. Our waiter Nick, awesome guy, was able to keep up with us at an outdoor table along with his other 6 tables. Great place to dock the boat and grab a bite to eat or sit at the bar. Food was good and was fairly priced. Popular spot & is dog friendly. Had live music too! Will be back!

Ate at the Rusty Anchor (sit down restaurant) that is attached to Catfish Johnny’s (sport’s bar) and is where my wife likes to go for Mother’s Day. One minor problem will be described in the end, but overall there is little to not like about this place. The view is lovely with the lake often providing a nice breeze, the staff is very young but friendly with everyone working hard, and the food is good.
My mother-in-law ordered the fried catfish plate which came with a large salad, two scoops of cheese mashed potatoes, and about 8 catfish strips. Two others in our party, despite not being ‘Under 11 only’, ordered from the children’s menu which I appreciate since they weren’t big eaters. Every time I go I’ve gotten the Mahi Tuna sandwich, which has consistently been cooked to order and not overdone.
Only problem I had with my meal is that I selected the side order of coleslaw which came in a HUGE scoop right next to the sandwich. The issue is the coleslaw juice was all over the plate, soaking into my sandwich, which I don’t know anyone who wants that. The manager was checking on clients during our visit and on the way out I commented to him that everything was good other than my sandwich being soaked in coleslaw juice and it would better be served in another dish. I found it a bit unreasonable for him to comment ‘you can always ask that it’s served in a dish instead.’
Regardless, I will still come back.

Such a fun vacation vibe to eat and drink by the water. Loved the outdoor space. The food seems ok nothing crazy good but simple enough and would go back for the vibes alone. Not much vegetarian friendly options other than salad of course but and pricey for the type of food.

Catfish plate was a good amount of food with a nicely made salad. Real Blue Cheese Dressing was awesome. Catfish was nuggets instead of filets. But fried perfectly and tasty. Nice tartar sauce. Fries and mashed potatoes were good. Service was great. Nice pick when on the lake. A fair amount of boat parking but it fills up quick.
