The biscuits? Still elite. Fluffy, buttery, golden perfection. Even without the cheese (more on that in a second), they held their own like the icons they are. This is the kind of food that feels like a reunion — familiar, satisfying, and worth the wait.
Now… here’s where things got a little wild. They were out of cheese. On a biscuit. Which, okay — things happen. BUT there was no discount or adjustment for ordering a biscuit with cheese that did not, in fact, contain cheese. Instead, the cashier mentioned they honored my husband’s active-duty military discount and followed it up with, “Well, that makes up for the cheese?”
Ma’am… respectfully… no
Also, where was the “thank you for your service”?? Because that felt like the bare minimum moment.
That said — even with the cheese-less chaos — the food itself still delivered. The sides were hot, well-seasoned, and tasted exactly how they should. Everything came out fresh, and nothing felt rushed or forgotten. Except the cheese.
Bojangles knows what it is and does what it does exceptionally well. One awkward moment doesn’t undo the fact that this place still brings the flavor, the comfort, and the consistency. I’ll absolutely be back — hopefully when cheese is present and accounted for.
Five stars for the food, the nostalgia, and the fact that when Bojangles hits, it hits. Just… maybe keep the cheese stocked and the gratitude flowing next time.
You’re not going to get a cocktail. You’re not going to get ambiance like they have at the Stanley marketplace. You’re going to get a truck. Stop playing country music and some pretty high calorie (they have salad options but I’d probably go someplace else for a salad) biscuits, biscuits and gravy chicken biscuits and the to die for blueberry biscuit..
For 20 bucks I got a chicken biscuit meal and a six pack of blueberry biscuits and a peach cobbler. I’m not a big eater but I was only able to eat half of the chicken Biscuit and tater tots.
You will not need ketchup. You will not need mayonnaise. These things are flavorful enough to stand alone.
The chicken biscuit made my 16-year-old swear (I brought half of it home. Remember) and proclaim maybe this should be illegal and took another big bite.
It really was that good. Is it worth a 4-Hour drive? 2 hours there and back? Maybe once in a great while?
“Corporate just changed the way we make biscuits.”
ME: “That’s weird. How many times in the last week did corporate change your process, because this is the fourth time this has happened.”
He didn’t have anything for that, so he offered to put my chicken and sausage biscuits in dessert biscuits, with dyed sugar chunks in them. It was embarassing. I got a refund and haven’t returned, after being a north-carolina hard-line bojangles fan. for decades.
No sweet potato pie? No thank you.
