At our Paducah, KY location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Every time we order from here there is always food missing or you might end up with what they call chicken strips. This photo is a kids chicken strip meal. 2 miniscule pieces of chicken stips that look to have been left in the fryer all day. Barely any coleslaw or Mac n cheese for the side and a drink the size of an espresso shot. Be sure to check your order before leaving and definitely do not chance the drive-thru.

I’ve ordered food from this place twice now, and I absolutely love it! For just $15, you get a perfectly grilled fish fillet and shrimp, along with a generous portion of rice, steamed broccoli, and a whole steamed ear of corn. The ingredients are always fresh, the flavors are fantastic, and the price is unbeatable for the quality and quantity you receive. This restaurant truly delivers delicious and affordable meals. Highly recommend!

Went with my daughter and fiance to dine inside the establishment. The cashier was not friendly with a sour look on her face. We was the only customer the whole 30 minutes we was there. Here’s the “best” part of it all. The cashier was also the server, as she was setting the food on the table as she very seemingly, like it was on purpose, spilled my whole cup of mountain dew on my daughter’s lap. The server just stood there quietly saying I’m sorry.
Lucky my daughter had an extra pair of pants in the car. I had the lady refund my daughters part of the meal for having to go through that. This place is awful food with awful workers!

First time coming here, when the sever came out to hand us our food, she ended up knocking over our soda spilling it all over our daughter, she was soaked. We got our money back. Lady server didn’t act like she was sorry , not ok. Not going back.

The entire restaurant was disgusting! From dead insects all over the tables, booth seats, and window seals. There were also spider webs on the corner of booths and food all over the floors. The restroom was atrocious! The only reason I gave a total of 2 stars was because the employees were polite and quick to wait on you.

I NEVER review anything, but our experience here was horrible once again. In the last 4 months we have eaten here 4 times. Each time has been consistently bad. The attitude of the crew members was “take it or leave it”. The food was stale and cold and the fish was burnt and reheated. The lemons were dried out and when I asked for some at the counter she said get them in the lobby, I said they were dried and old and she said “well, that’s what we got” The only thing good was the soda and even that was over $3 for a small.

This experience at the Captain D’s restaurant has been the best experience my family has had in a long time. It’s great to actually have polite and friendly workers to interact with when placing our order the ladies were in a great mood and appeared to be happy to be at work. I am in restaurants frequently and as everyone else probably has experienced we have more so than ever it seems to encounter rude individuals who simply make one feel uncomfortable to place an order. Not here at Captain Ds .The ladies here are exactly how each and every restaurant wants their staff to interact with customers

The staff was very unhelpful when asked the cheapest way to get extra fish. They went as far as to telle their was no way to get any extra fish. Not even purchasing them. The general manager was very rude to my wife for being in bathroom under 5 minutes. We were timing this by the way for a customer service inspection we were paid for. This is what i got for 18 dollars
