My DAV husband,we were told that no pets permitted inside. We have a Chihuahua/Beagle and so we sat outside on a barely shaded picnic table. We received great service from our hostess with Excellent people skills. Our compliments to her! We hope that they would build a shelter that would accommodate cold or hot days for people with Pets, with a heater and a fan.

This place is SUPER cute and delicious! We found it looking for a place to stop on our way to the hot springs and were thrilled with how it turned out. The restaurant interior features items related to the family and Grammy herself. For example the floor is actually the gym floor from the school they went to. Service was very friendly and they had lots of options on the menu as well. We went for the yak burger and fries. Everything here is homemade all the way down to the buns and ketchup. As a side note, the ketchup was probably the best ketchup I have ever had. The burger was delicious, and we also saved room for dessert. I had the plain homemade vanilla ice cream. It was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend if you’re driving down this middle of nowhere road in Colorado and want a local bite to eat.

I dont want to leave a review because I don’t want this place ro become a tourist spot but I have to. Driving by I noticed the sign for prime rib, not going to lie at first I thought it was abandoned. On the way back I was hungry and googled restaurants (knowing there’s nothing in the area). Grammys came up. Quick glance over the menu and I figured I’d give them a shot. I wasnt expecting much especially ordering a Wagyu burger lol OH. My…..I inhaled the dann thing and the onion rings…..had to have used at least 2 whole onions. Then I got a homemade cinnamon roll and a fruit roll up just before leaving. Homemade frosting….OK And their ranch, yea I could drink it lol glad I found my new spot on the way back and forth. I’ll be dreaming of that burger

Great, little restaurant that serves delicious food in handsome portions. It’s hard to find authentic places like this these days.
We stopped on our way from Salida to the Great Sand Dunes National Park for breakfast, and it didn’t only hit the spot but made our day already.
Highly recommend a visit!

This restaurant is adorable, and I was really hoping for a better experience from the reviews. When we walked in they had a sign stating that wait times could be long as they were training new people, that’s no issue, I’ll wait for good food. We sat down and realized only one lady was working all the tables and the register and you could tell she was tired. Once again. I get it, I’ve worked customer service. After an hour wait time we finally get our food and it looks like THIS. ITS BURNT. And not just a little, the hashbrowns were black and the bacon followed suit. Why would you serve someone this? Maybe I’ll get back in the area and try again sometime. But I had zero good experience here.

Don’t let the “hole in the wall” appearance deter you. The food was fantastic! The Wagu burger with a gluten free bun was great. Highly recommend the Navajo taco as well! We even bought a loaf of gluten free bread to take back to the Airbnb. Service was on the slower end but that just means you have more time to enjoy the atmosphere and food! 🙂

I had the fish special with a side of onion rings, and honestly this the best fried fish and best rings I’ve had in a very long time, maybe ever. Honest low key local spot, perfect for lunch on your way to…?

We had a great lunch at Grammy’s Kitchen on our way to Great Sand Dunes National Park. The delicious fried mushroom appetizer had freshly battered and fried plump mushrooms. The briskett sandwich on homemade bread with a side of sauteed bell peppers and onions was very good. The chicken fried steak was tasty. Service was very friendly and helpful. The dining area was super clean, bright and nicely decorated. They also had some nice locally made crafts for sale as well as fresh baked bread.

STOP NOW… thank me later!! Wow!! This little restaurant delivers big on flavor! I had the wagyu burger. It did not disappoint. Grilled perfectly with gouda cheese, maple bacon pieces, #allergygitl had to leave off the two layers of special sauce. The bun was home made and fresh. It was soo good. Served with a side. I chose asparagus which turned out to be a really good decision. The ice tea was freshly made. The waitress was friendly, responsive and made me feel right at home. I got to chat with the owner she uses Grammy’s recipes.
