Overall decent experience. Server was very good. Food was a bit mixed. My wife’s brisket was OK but hard a ton of fat served with it (more than what we normally have experiencedat most bbq places). One of our table had the collard greens and said they were fantastic. The chicken wings were good but the ranch was more of a dill veggie dip vs ranch. Blue cheese dip for wings was great. One thing that was irritating was the charge for a side of the aforementioned ranch. Even if it was good (which for ranch- not, but good for a dill dip) they charged $2 for a few once cup. We will try it again given the good outweighed the less than great.

We had an incredible dining experience at Dr. Rolf’s! The portion sizes were generous, the food was simply delicious, and they offered a wide array of options to choose from. What made it even better was the stunning view of the river, providing a picturesque backdrop to our meal. We had a large group, everyone ordered something different, and everyone loved their meals. I highly recommend the tots or the chips and dip appetizers!!

First timers. When we walked in I knew this place would be good. It has a great atmosphere. The outdoor seating has a really good setting. Plenty of light to enjoy the sun for the inside seating. Music wasn’t too loud to interfere with conversations. And the aroma of the food was mouth watering. So, I believe they were having some issues this day. We were advised that they were not able to serve mac-n-cheese, tater tots, and fried apples. My wife was a little disappointed but we appreciated the heads up. Our waiter, Jagger, was great. He constantly checked on us and you could tell he felt bad having to tell us what they weren’t able to serve. Unfortunately, after placing our order he had to return to take our order again because they now weren’t serving sausage. This was a major bummer. Not Jagger’s fault though. The next disappointment was that when the food came out, everyones meat was luke warm or room temperature. I was hungry and didn’t want to deal with sending food back. I think for the price I would’ve liked to see bigger portions of meat. Not looking for a plate of meat but two ribs and a slice of Brisket plus two sides isn’t worth $21. Especially if it isn’t “slap your Mama” good. We will give Rolfs another try, just not at this location.

First time at this location. Pretty cool place! There is a long bar and lots of open seating. I liked the atmosphere. It was a Friday night and the service was pretty slow. However, I didn’t rate it because the weather was pretty bad so I am trying to find a reason why there was only 1 server. The food was mid. The meat all had a nice smoke flavor. I received two uneven slices of brisket that was dry and the bark was very hard. The ribs were cooked well and had a good ratio of fat/meat. However, they were very under seasoned. Just some light salt and pepper it seemed. I couldn’t see any smoke on the jalapeño cheddar sausage, but it was very good and probably my favorite. The collard greens were a tad overdone and were very soupy. They were also much sweeter than I would have preferred. The potato salad was kind of like a coleslaw. It had raw celery that was only slightly smaller than the potatoes themselves and it really overwhelmed the balance. It was also very sweet as it had sweet pickles in it. TBH, I didn’t finish the brisket, potato salad, or collard greens.

This is a nice spot to stop if you’re in Spring Lake and looking for bbq! There is an indoor and outdoor seating area that can accommodate many people. Service was good and being able to see boats coming thru the channel is neat. Party tried the Mac n brisket egg rolls to start (these were by far the best part of our visit; served with a delicious aioli). Then we tried a platter with chicken breast & pulled pork; sides were Mac n cheese, tater tots, and cole slaw. Chicken was a little dry but very good with the apricot bbq sauce. Pulled pork was very flavorful. Mac n cheese and tots were good however the Cole slaw wasn’t the greatest. Cornbread waffles and the pickles were highlights of the platters. Overall, it was a pleasant visit and definitely a plus for serving Coke products.

Not sure where to start. This is my fourth time here plus had their catering a few weeks ago. The crunch wrap was ok, along with the queso, but lackluster. More of a light lunch order vs dinner IMO. Two of the three tacos were decent. The chicken was clearly bad. Crunchy, chewy, rubbery texture. After the meal, we mentioned it to the server and she said she had heard that today. Well, not sure how I feel about her allowing us to order it or the kitchen continuing to serve it.
There is so much potential here! Huge deck should be raised a little higher for a water view. Even just high tops towards the building would likely make a difference. They have a huge river front yard that should be utilized for a tiki bar, yard games, something! Vibe has always been meh. Needs some live music or something.

Patio seating was nice and we had pretty good service. Did the taco trio. Pulled pork was by far the best, brisket was okay but the chicken was sketttttchy, so I didn’t finish that one. Server said she’d heard other comments that day about the chicken so I found that odd she let me order that. Mango salsa with the chips was pretty good.

We came to this location for a work party/Christmas Lunch. The waitress was amazing very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. She was very patient since it was are first time dining. The restaurant was very well set up and they have tons of food options. Everything we had was amazing from the appetizers to the dinners. Definitely a 10/10 and we will be returning.
