The Chipotle near 933 is by far one of the worst-run restaurant locations I have ever encountered. The level of unprofessionalism, disregard for customers, and lack of basic food safety is shocking.
From the moment customers walk in, staff members display hostile and dismissive attitudes, offering dirty looks instead of greetings. There is zero customer service culture at this location. The food is consistently stale and poorly prepared, and the floors are routinely filthy, including areas directly surrounding food preparation. This alone should raise serious red flags.
I experienced major issues at this location three weeks ago and had no choice but to contact the Chipotle complaint line while standing inside the restaurant. I was promised a follow-up. No one has contacted me. This level of neglect reflects complete indifference from management and ownership.
When addressing concerns in person, I spoke with a young female employee who identified herself as the manager on duty. She showed no professionalism, no empathy, and no willingness to listen. There was no apology, only defensiveness and attitude. This type of behavior should never come from someone in a leadership role.
Even more alarming was witnessing a clear health code violation: an employee with multiple piercings around her mouth was handling cash and then immediately preparing food without changing gloves. This is basic food safety 101, and the fact that it occurred openly shows either lack of training or complete disregard for sanitation standards.
It is unbelievable that ownership has allowed this location to operate in such a consistently substandard and unsanitary manner. This store appears to be poorly managed, poorly trained, and poorly supervised. Until there is a complete overhaul of management, cleanliness, and staff accountability, I strongly advise customers to avoid this location altogether.
The food was decent. the steak was very fatty and disappointing. They were completely out of carne asada, (non peak hour) and black beans. I watched as the employee jus poured black bean juice on my burrito. The chicken was however delicious and juicy. My wife pre-ordered a quesadilla. It was 12-15 minutes past the time we arrived till she received it (over 40 minutes). It also had several fatty chewy bits. Price was extremely steep. Three people, over $60… Again, this is before typical rush time. Three patrons in the lobby. As we look for a seat we realize every surface is absolutely disgusting. Not one table has been wiped, food everywhere, floor littered with food and used debris. Flat wear and sauces were not stocked and poor condition(photos included). The only saving grace, the staff was very pleasant. Food was OK. Environment was deplorable. I haven’t been to Chipotle in a couple years, I always absolutely loved it. This experience unfortunately has soured my view. I’ll probably never go back. For the value and experience I’d rather find a nice Mexican restaurant and enjoy all of it. It could have been just an off day, but the impact will be felt for some time and potentially eliminated this family as customers.
When I ordered my bowl, the portion was smaller than usual and made with minimal ingredients. At first, I assumed the staff might be trying to conserve what was left for other customers, but after my party checked out, I saw the employees making their own meals—piling them high with generous portions of the same ingredients they had just been stingy with for paying customers.
Not long after, another group came in, and I overheard one of the staff members say, “Why do people come in when we close in 10 minutes?” It was only 9:45 p.m. They then began scraping the bottom of the containers to fulfill the new orders. To top it off, all of the trash cans had already been emptied, so there was nowhere to dispose of our garbage.
Overall, this visit felt rushed and unprofessional. I understand wanting to close on time, but customers who arrive before closing should still receive the same quality of food and service as those who come earlier in the evening. Hopefully, management can address this so future guests have a better experience.
