A friend of mine and I have frequented Kohinoor a few times. We enjoyed the food, but the service this last time was not great. It never really is. We were never offered another drink or asked how we were doing (it’s not hard to pour a couple of glasses of wine). When I did get a glass of wine, the wine glass was crusty and felt like it had dried with a bunch of food on it. I would have requested a different glass, but the server never came by. I poured it into my water glass. I understand it is hard to find good staff, but there were only 2 other tables. The people ordering take out seemed to be the priority and were very disruptive. Unfortunately, we were pretty disappointed tonight. I know we will try it again in hopes they can provide better service and cleaner stemware.

The staff was super friendly and the food tasted great. I took my order to go so I didn’t get to enjoy the atmosphere but I will definitely be back the next time I’m in Saint Cloud.

Service was great. We were greeted and seated right away during dinner time. The Indian beers were great. I got the lamb Jalfrazi curry. I ordered the spiciest but sadly it was not Asian spicy but American spicy. Still delicious though. The lamb was not gamey and it was super tender. The next was the basic chicken curry. It was cooked perfectly. Overall, great experience and will definitely have to come back to try other things on the menu.

The food is excellent. The staff are arrogant and argumentative at times. They speak judgmentally about clientele–ppl with pick-up orders as well as dine-in clientele. I’ve come here for years and really enjoy the food. The staff are not warm, genuine, or welcoming.

My wife and I have been looking for that perfect Chicken Tikka Masala in Minnesota. It has to have that perfect blend of aromatic and savory spices. This was our first visit to Kohinoor and it did not hit that spot. It was very good but not to the perfection we are looking for. We did find a place in Minnetonka six years ago but they changed their menu. We will return someday when we are back in St. Cloud. Overall, the food and service was good. We will continue to try Indian restaurants ever since our first date over 31-years ago.

I’m not not one to finish apps to myself but the sauce that came with the fish pakora made it too easy my fiance had mild butter chicken and I have the masala chicken medium heat level and we both got garlic naan it was soooo delicious can’t recommend this place enough literally going again next weekend drinks are good too

We ordered the chicken masala & chicken jalfrezi. They were perfect portions and at medium-heat, we could taste the flavors. The naan complimented the dishes well. Our waitress was very kind and prompt. We will eat here again!

I am a long haul truck driver and somewhat of an Indian food connoisseur. First of all the portion size was downright offensive for the price that I paid. I ordered the lamb curry with medium heat. There was no heat whatsoever. The lamb was practically nonexistent, the mango, lassi, hands-down by far the worst I have ever had in all the Indian food I have ever eaten all across the United States. I am very dissatisfied. I will never ever ever never order here again. Disgraceful.

04/25/2025 – I got the Chicken Balti & Garlic Naan. I also brought in my grandpa, and I don’t recall exactly what he got.
Regardless It was excellent, to say the least. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and served at an excellent time!
Our server was splendid, super attentive, sweet, helpful all you could ask for.
(I didn’t ask, but it seemed to be possibly family owned), but the manager/bartender/possible father was also around to check in and see if we needed anything and to see how things tasted.
I also saw a possible chef/mom pop out of the kitchen, which I love to see (being a bit of a chef myself) because she was checking in on things as well! There is nothing better than the cook making sure things turn out!
The atmosphere was great, with nice background music, unique art, decor, and a clean space.
The prices were typical, I’m happy to pay what it is for the amazing experience! 100% recommended and will definitely be back to fill my cravings!
